Iron Banner ornaments aren't unlocked after purchase.
Legacy Iron Banner ornaments (two sets per class) can be purchased and appear in your [b]Inventory/Modifications[/b] where they can be unlocked. However, the ornaments are not usable in [b]Appearance Customization[/b] and, instead, show as regular armor requiring [b]Synthweave[/b] to unlock again. These are armor ornaments at purchase and are bugged requiring a second unlock presently.

They were made to go on the Iron Truage set, and can be applied to that set, and some other older IB sets without any further unlock. There were many other sets back then such as the faction-related Sovereign Lion set for the Sovereign suit, and the Fire-Forged Set for Crucible's Binary Phoenix Suit. They predate Universal Ornaments which came in Shadowkeep, and those were called 'Universal' to distinguish them from the old kind. As of Season of the Lost, anyone who owned these old style ornaments was able to unlock them as universal using Synthweave. So nothing has changed since then, except these ornaments have finally been rereleased for the first time since 2018. Otherwise you're still in the same position as the original owners who also had to pay synthweave.

Edited by Sunbro Joe: 12/11/2023 5:41:13 AMI recommend not spending any Synthweave on these ornaments while we wait for them to be fixed. I feel it's unlikely, but refunded Synthweave would be nice for those who spent it on these bugged ornaments during the week.
