Hey guys :D! I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue, I'm posting on behalf of my friend. My friends Steam (Valve) account was hacked on the 29th, now Microsoft, Valve and PSN have refused to help with this, saying it's on Bungie. Through a lot of research I've noticed Bungie don't want to handle this issue, and pass the book back to the other companies. Hence the wild goose chase and now I'm resorting to see if anyone's expertise can assist my friend at all. My friends Valve account got Hijacked when BattleEye had a Data Breach, and they took advantage of it when Valve servers went down on the 29th of November. (Valve had said they had an influx of reports at the same time so my friend is not the only one) Hijacking my friends main email, Epic account and Valve (his main account which thankfully he's successfully recovered both) Valve and Epic were the only connected accounts to his Bungie. The Hijacker knew if he linked accounts (Both on console) that Bungie and the other companies won't get involved due to "Lack of proof that they're not the hacker" so can't unlink accounts (Despite Valve clearly posting the logs and apologising to my friend about him being hijacked) This is understandable, and we have seen threads where you can unlink your main to a new profile - HOWEVER. The hacker immediately turned on Cross Save knowing it locks any accounts down from being moved, as you have to "Authorise" the other accounts to turn it off. Knowing companies won't help with unlinking. However doing my own research, it's Bungies own service, so is there anything that can be done to help my friend? He's played since launch, and everyone is heartbroken at such an *blankity blank* move. Please note THE TWO CONSOLE ACCOUNTS LINKED DO NOT BELONG TO MY FRIEND. They are the Hijacker who does Paid Recovs. TLDR; Hijacker turned on cross save through console accounts linked, how can he turn this off without access to them so he can move to a new bungie account? Any help would be very very appreciated. We can provide the proof from Valve support if needed :)
