Stop making new game modes (you are bad at it)
You can tell that the people who make these game modes never play PvP. New IB game mode is horrible. Focus your efforts in combatting cheaters and improving connections. New boring and pointless game modes won't save PvP. Fixing the experience will.
Out of all the game modes, Control, Clash and Survival are the ones that work. Checkmate is a great concept but fails because of cheaters with input mods. Now we can't counter them with special ammo.
You need to learn how to do your job. You are failing miserably!
I was excited about the new IB AR. You can keep it if it means me playing this horrible game mode.

I like game modes for mix up to keep it interesting. If you want play same mode like PvP control or IB control, it sucks sometime cuz other players exploit in game like camper snipers or bows and possibly camping on bases to keep it protect. I am sure you might losing points, are you staying in game or quit. That what other losing players quit middle of game. That part I don’t like when player quit middle of match and make me lose interest in that mode. No offense, I like control but keep doing same thing over and over. I am getting tired of it and it kind ruin fun.

4 RepliesNo, no no! Bungie, don't listen to this very bad advice! You NEED to keep making new game modes. You just need to tune in to your community a little better to figure out what we want. I mean, just straight up ask if you have to, or read the forums every once in a while. The answers are right there!

2 RepliesFunny thing is, these are not new game modes. The mote collection, then having to go dunk them is pretty much the kill confirm in d1. In d1 you would kill opsoing gaurdians, pick up thier tags, then have to deliver them to one of your goals, if an enemy killed you, they would be able to retrieve the tags you have, as well as yours. The Dufuse the bomb game mod, is an old pvp d2 game mod that was taken our in either year 4 or 5. The relic game mode, and the ammo game mod are the only new ones we've gotten recently.

I think the real issue is that they drop new game modes into Iron Banner without ever testing or even introducing them in another area of the crucible first. Why was this Tribute game type not in labs or quickplay... Ever? Like they're using IB for what Labs should be for. Hell I'd have preferred Checkmate Iron Banner to this, at least they tested it beforehand.

If you have to remove normal control when IB is up. Recognize the problem. Enough people don’t want to play your new modes that you’re going to have problems forcing them too. 2. Reducing the frequency of IB to 3 times a season, then only having control once and the other two instances being some weird a$$ game mode ridiculous. 3. Control works because slayers can slay and contribute. People who want to focus on objectives can and also contribute. These “variety” game modes take the focus away from slaying which is what players play PVP for …. Just stop with these bulls41t collect and dunk modes or punishing kill streaks with blow up mechanics.

Amen brother!!! I agree but it's the match-making and not playing objectives has been destroying D2 PvP/Gambit. Best thing I don't do is give commendations to being on the losing team in Crucible/IB/Trials modes. I don't believe in rewarding to be a loser.

Would have been fine if it were just supremacy, ppl don't understand to bank the crests or to kill the turrets and bank at the main bank. Honestly it's too confusing for most players so they play it like it's clash.

I saw Luck10p's video on it, breaking down what to do...I..Like, Just no. I already made a Post that it sounds like a Precursor to marathon. They just need to go back to OG IB, Clash and Control. Its the Best modes.
