The ability regen and orb changes does not "slow the pace of the game", it disables every single build that relies on them instead. Many of our Coil runs have ended in the team pulling out primaries to chip the boss (which bungie said they would like to avoid) due to ability regen being reduced by around 60% as a whole, which has effectively made the game as a whole not enjoyable and dull despite the coil and the new dungeon being very interesting and well designed at base, due to build diversity being drastically reduced. Most of the builds that worked last season have now ceased to work, with and without artifact mods. In fact, fully clearing the coil has been difficult unless we are matched with a random banner of war titan or a sunbracers warlock. We believe this is unacceptable and can be solved through reverting the nerfs and/or rework the underpowered exotics according to the changes. Rant over. We expect a reasonable response.

  • They said they wanted us to build into instant or high ability regen instead of being able to just have it all and we did and now they take that away too. What does Bungie want?

    • Things like that tend to become easier as the season goes on. This might not be the season to wait for things like that though. The abilities were too much now they might be too little. Really only the build people are going to be the most objective when it comes to that when they want to be. A lot of us really have no idea if it's too little. But full ability power and sbmm combined can do more harm than good. Things like threadlings tend to be worse the more the connections are bad.

    • While i hate the changes, saying coil is too difficult without ability spamming is wrong. I'd actually like for them to take a look at the buffs again. Because 25% damage while airborn is great, but i can't make full use on that on most subclasses that aren't dawnblade.

      • 50/50 There are more and more new ways to make orbs other than ability spam but imma say my experience with the nerfs on each class I use My solar hunter put out 100s of orbs and even though that's been significantly reduced, I only found better ways to gain restoration, health back and ability regeneration through a single fragment and getting grenade ability regen back on my melee that makes orbs feel like a joke. I don't know why I ever used them when a more enjoyable loop was hiding from me this whole time. For warlock orbs were never part of my build like hunters so I don't notice they are reduced. Arc traces already give back so much regent and with Kickstart mods even after changes its hard to find a time when I'm not throwing grenades (shaxx would be proud). With my arc buddie doing 90% of my ability regen I could actually make this build significantly better, just gotta grind some ikelos smgs for a voltshot roll. With Titans, my solar bonk hammer got nerfed but not in a way that I can feel it, mostly due to how I use the time between hammer throws to proc one two punch with my shotgun, pulling it and and firing before throwing a hammer feels no different now than before. Orbs were never a thought oj this build other than armor charges but you don't need 50orbs a minute to get max stats. The sunspots even nerfed provide me with significantly better benefits than an orb gen build could. In short, each class I play has 1 fragments or aspect that makes orbs near useless except armorcharges. If anything orbs are a barrier to actual buildcrafting in this game but, it's easy and I will admit orb gen go brrrrrr was fun
