There is nothing in this game that is fun to do for more than a week. It is the same thing, over and over again. You lock ALL the cool stuff behind insanely hard challenges and rng. You force us to play YOU want us too, not the way WE want to. Can’t use your favorite guns, you need champion mods. Can’t play the subclass you want, cause it isn’t useful in raids and dungeons.
You make it easy for streamers to stomp players in crucible, and impossible for average players to even TRY and get better. You promise “oh, we’re doing something REAL big and new” and then you backtrack and say “well, we didn’t want to overdeliver”.
The only fun aspect of this game, is making friends. But since this game has gotten so stale, to the point that the numbers are the lowest they have ever been, there’s no one on who wants to be friends.
And even if you find someone to play with, you’ve made this game so frustrating that no one is thinking about “oh I like this person, I want to play with them again” because they’re too busy trying to beat your impossibly stupid mechanics.
I’ll play the next season, and see how it is, but if it doesn’t fill me with confidence, then why should I even CONSIDER buying Final Shape?
And one more thing, stop locking the best looking gear behind a paywall…

3 RepliesChampions are the best thing in the game.

2 RepliesStrand Titan melee set up with one two punch shotgun here. I’m having the best fun ever. Never paid a penny at Eververse either. The game is what YOU make it. I’m having a blast for a really old gamer.

Not fun at all. Been not fun for quite some time now.

The game itself is super fun. Some aspects of the game are less fun, but gameplay is unequalled. I think Diablo is boring, not going to post it everywhere.

Honestly, you can't see that each new season is the same routine. Same missions on repeat for 10 weeks. But mainly, in my opinion, the only thing that I find fun now is my stasis titan, Verglas Curve stasis bow, and sorrow's harbor. (With sorrow's harbor being fun up to a certain extent though.) Yeah, I retired after season of defiance and stopped buying things. Even though I've always wanted to venture underwater since Destiny 1 PS3 ...that day finally came but, I really wanted to call the quits on new seasons.

Bungie: We know all of this, we simply don’t care.

Edited by Morakx: 11/22/2023 7:57:13 PMPVP used to be that long term thing that kept most players interested during content droughts and also inbetween because it made farming new guns so much more meaningful. UNTIL they decided to let pvp die by not giving it ANY attention for almost 4 years. And then on top of the natural player decline for pvp which was an obvious result to abandoning the playlist, they introduced STRICT sbmm to CASUAL pvp playlists. Yea, a shrinking player pool cut down to even less possible player matchups with a strict matchmaking system for CASUAL pvp. Excessive queue times, terrible connections, sweaty tournament matches. One way to kill the main mode that players enjoyed when content slowed down. I play cod instead now and stopped giving these clowns my valuable time until they finally wake up (which will never happen) And to those who say "oH aNoThEr pUb sToMpEr wHo cAnT wIn aGaInSt gOoD pLaYeRs". Jokes on you, cod has even more strict SBMM but atleast that game has dedicated servers and an actual existing playerbase unlike destiny. In cod, the infrastructure makes SBMM playable. And cod isnt dead like destiny.

Im surprised they haven't increased the Price to 25$ or 30$ per a skin. Who am i kidding, Thell probably release it in Finale Shape to try and collect the Lost revenue.

Didn't think so, try not to sound hysterical. Doesn't do you any favours.

Any subclass and weapon is useable in raids or dungeons. Master raids and dungeons there is a meta sure, but regular it doesnt matter. Ive done nearly every raid with just Rat King and class abilities. No heavy, no supers, no nades or melees. You can use your favorite guns, maybe not all 3 slots with champions, but between exotic intrinsic stuns, the artifact, and subclass stuns, there is a lot of freedom. Its not perfect, but it does help with content being stale slightly. Using the same guns is using the same playstyle, changing guns for champ stuns changes how you play so its not as stale.

1 ReplyIf it's not fun for you then stop playing, it's literally that simple. This business doesn't give a rat's -blam!- about anyone but their streamer buddies. So go play other games because there are plenty of better games to play than this mess. Here let this set in... This business literally admitted in a TWAB a couple of years back that they know the game is unrewarding, but they haven't done jack -blam!- about it 🤦♂️

This game is not fun, that's why I've played it for a gazillion hours.

2 RepliesI only have fun when playing alone, the raids and player interaction just made me miserable.
-
Champions I couldn’t agree with more adjusting damage levels of weapons means nothing when you have to equip for whatever champions are in an activity and no abilities don’t compensate for that it is nothing but sucking what little enjoyment is left right out of the game
-
You dont need to consider buying final shape. You will buy it, like how you bought the next season even though “the game is not fun”

Edited by A_mo: 11/22/2023 4:40:28 PMTthis game is so fun that I should be packing for Thanksgiving and I'm about to turn it on. ....and when I turn it off I'm going to pack the game and take with me. And pack a spare monitor so if ya see me in pvp and I'm not the best of duelers I will blame it on the monitor.

Edited by IAGNRG: 11/22/2023 4:06:32 PMI’ll play next season because I already own it, binge the game for about a month, then go back to how I’ve been for a while.

4 RepliesGames not fun but you’ll play it regardless. Screaming into the void lol.

what is locked behind insanely hard challenges? nothing is that hard (except getting to the light house when you have no thumbs)
-
2 RepliesStop playing, that’s what I’m doing.

1 ReplyAnd "checkmate everything" is going to slow pvp down even further, returning the game to d2 vanilla time to kill. I'm just so !@#£%^& done with bungies nonsense!

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - 3/6/2026 1:06:39 AM
Honestly sounds like you need a period of time (minimum 2 weeks) without playing D2 at all. You might need to do what I did a while ago and re-evaluate the activities you participate in and your expectations of what you do in game. I get that you’ve paid for the next season, so want to get some value from the purchase. But a few weeks away won’t matter as next season will last more than long enough. -
3 RepliesWhat is "insanely hard challenges"?

If you feel forced then that's an issue with you. I'm not forced to play or forced to play how bungie wants. That s idiotic when people try to say I am forced. How in the world do they make streamers stomp other players? That's beyond delusional. They brought SBMM back to try and satisfy the whining children like yourself. You generalize beyond any rational thought. So it's boring you're forced but you will play next season. Yes, precisely why I say you have issues that go way beyond playing a video game.

Looking from bright side, if bungie had not made some subclasses stronger, I would not know how fun to play titan is.
