It's super annoying that one of the few viable Hunter exotics got shafted because it was annoying to face in PvP.
The boss damaging potential of it is entirely gone, and there is really no other ability spam build that exists to replace it.
There are several routes Bungo could have gone to reduce its prominence in PvP, but they decided to ruin it for both modes.
Here are a few possible solutions that wouldn't be as damaging.
• drastically reduce energy restored when damaging players
• only grants energy on ability damage to combatants (improve gain or grant additional grenade to compensate)
• change the mechanic by which energy is restored that works differently in PvP (for example, a timed buff such as Death Throes)
I know it probably won't be reinstated, and the upcoming exotic "reworks" are absolutely laughable in how simplistic and generally useless they will be, so, I guess Solar Hunter spam builds are just dead for now

6 RepliesThis is not THE reason I quit, but it was the final straw in a long list of qualms. Then all the fallout happened as result of the -45% debacle and just made me think, ‘yes, that was the right move’.

7 RepliesYeah how about no buddy. Hunters are always feeling that they are entitled to whatever they want 🤣

8 RepliesWhile they're at it, they should partially revert the nerfs to Starfire too, as well as the nerf/rework to Lucky Raspberry (or just give it both the old and new functionalities). I'm sure there are probably a few other over-nerfed exotics that need reverting or partial reverting as well, but those are the only ones I could think of off the top of my head.

2 RepliesSeems fairly obvious the boss DPS was something they wanted to address as well, even if I don't agree with that. (because who cares about OP in PvE??) Because yes, there were plenty of options to hurt it only in pvp that they didn't take. Just makes me think pvp wasn't the only target.

Seen someone suggest catalysts for Exotic armours. Maybe they could add the perks back but make exotic catalysts work only in PvE for armour. Would maybe be easier from a balancing point of view if they did it this way. As we could all have armour with standard PvE/PvP perks and an enhanced PvE only perk.
