Hi !
The title says it all.
I have played 17 different builds with strand on warlock and no matter which one i play its really weak! i try them out in lost sector, the one today i can do the run in 1 minute and 50 seconds to 2 minutes and 20 seconds as hunter and titan strand, but with warlock it takes over 4 minutes and i die all the time!
when i play warlock void arc or solar i can easily do the run in 2 minutes without dying, but not with strand! i have tried so many builds and i just cant find anything that actually works!
The one i found the most powerful is necrotic grip with 100 res 100 rec and 100 decipline. i run it with thorn
aspect: ascent, warding, genration and isolation ( i have tried many diffrent especially changing isolation out with fury)
aspect i have tried all of them right it is wanderer and mindspun.
i use all forms of protections and still i keep dying my power level is 1834.
Am i missing someting ? or is strand warlock really just as weak as people say? i didnt want to belive it, but now im not so sure. If anyone have a build they say is strong i would love to try it!
maybe i am just the worst warlock strand player..
hope someone will help me !

It's too slow and squishy for GM level content unfortunately but it is fun to play It's also very fun in 6s crucible but struggles in 3s because it's so slow

1 ReplyStrandlock isn’t looking so hot atm. It’s like Bungie want us to do a mix of Support and Damage but Titan got the Support and Damage Hunter got the Add Clear Damage while Warlock got a Invis that’s worse than Hunter’s Invis with a DR that’s completely useless as Aspects. Even though the subclass is based on summoning Threadlings, Hunters got a Decoy and Grenade that summons threadlings while Warlocks only got the Rift and Grenade to summon them. What keeps me playing Strand Lock is Navigator however.

2 RepliesI have been having a lot of success with the weavewalk/monte carlo build that was popular a month or so ago, getting melee charges for constant weavewalk spam. Generating a full brace of threadlings then casting healing rift for the 8 threadling barrage is pretty much going to delete most enemies other than bosses and maybe champions if they haven't been stunned, popping back into weavewalk if they are still a threat.

3 RepliesStrand warlock is the weakest of the 3, but doesn’t mean it’s not good. I was using threadlings build, and it was fun, if not op. It’s not as strong as any of the other subclasses, but it’s still good and viable in any activity. So stop freaking out because it’s slower to do a lost sector by one minute, are you that pressed for time? Not all builds are equal, and sometimes the lesser build is more fun, even if it’s less effective.

1 ReplyBroodweaver has extremely poor defensive capabilities with the exception of Weavewalk. Once you get familiar with the playstyle of the ability it’s extremely strong. Because activating WW is your melee charge necrotic grips is NOT ideal to use while using WW. Anyhow here’s my build: Aspects: Weavewalk The Wander Fragments: Thread of Evolution Thread of Rebirth Thread of Fury Grenade: Threadling (or Shackle) Class ability healing Rift Exotic armor: Swarmers Primary: precision favoring strand weapon with Hatchling (I use Round Robin) Secondary: weapon of your choice I’d recommend longer range if you go with Round Robin Heavy: Circular Logic (but generally strand machine gun) Goal: because swarmers and thread of evolution move threadlings up a gear your one goal is to be perpetually generating them. I use the Wander because it has excellent synergy organically with swarmers and because the synergy it has through thread of fury; essentially it’s a homing shackle grenade that generates Threadlings. Advice: Minimize your use of arcane needle as much as possible, never use if are one at 1 charge. If severely damaged retreat into WW until: your rift is back and your near cover, or fully regenerate health through Recovery, or if your able to reach a defensive enough position that you can heal. It’s ok to use WW as a threadling battery, with a strand machine gun it can result in excellent add clear and even decent DPS. Prioritize Recovery and Strength stats, then Resilience and Disapline, and finally intellect; mobility under 20 total is preferred because it adds little to nothing to the build. I use the threadling grenade for add clear and generating tangles swiftly however shackle is just as valuable.

I mean u just need to make a tangle and throw it with swarmers and the right aspects and u win the game

4 RepliesBecause they are always afraid of Warlocks being broken after Stasis. I love the super but it would be nice for them to add the ability to gain woven mail via one of the aspects. Also the newest aspect shouldn’t have a fragments penalty. Too many penalties involved with running it honestly. Also a better exotic than Swarmers would help. It’s things like that they should change to make it more viable. It’s not a bad subclass at all and it’s fun but I’d I prefer to run Void or Solar.

3 RepliesMaybe this won't give you the completion times you seek, but it is very good. https://dim.gg/om44gva/Equipped Weave walk is up almost all the time, so you can do a quick getaway, there will be threadlings everywhere, and you'll melt champs with the sheer damage you do with 8 threadlings

okay so now i made some changes and got the time down to 3 minutes and 6-19 seconds still not great but better!
