Wtf is up with bullets hitting enemies and not registering?? Then the game gives enemy the kill?
-
If that happens when you're on a losing streak, it's not just you. Every season, I get almost to the top in Comp and get forced into a losing streak that will not allow me to win. I noticed I go from getting 3 hit kills consistently to 5 or more headshots to kill in a losing streak. I also go from getting hit 3-4 times before I die to 1 or 2 hits during a losing streak to kill me. It's so ridiculous that some games that myself and a teammate will both be shooting the same guy, and he'll kill us both with a hand cannon. Tonight is one of those nights because the last 2 nights I was on fire now I'm being punished losing almost every single game and can barely damage opponents even though I'm getting headshots. It's a joke, some players experience this and some don't.

5 RepliesThey wonder why no one is playing. Fools

3 RepliesPlayStation players have some kind of extra aim assist, maybe it’s just the Cronus zens. PlayStation players one shot me with bows and hand cannons all the time. They never miss its unreal

The gameplay throttling is horrible. And a big part of the PvP player pool that is left are cheaters.

4 RepliesBad connection, high ping... Doesn't matter how good your Internet is, how good is your opponents? sbmm doesn't care where you live in relation to who you match. Tbh, Bungie cbmm is not so great either. Problematic since d1. The only thing that matters is connection in PvP, after Bungie master that, they can go into Cbmm or Sbmm or whatever they pick and then after that they can go into team balance, but they have to address and nail connections first, and they haven't in a decade...
Wtf is up with bullets hitting enemies and not registering?? Then the game gives enemy the kill?
I have experienced this using Hung Jury

It’s been like that since D1. People say crossplay is the issue when they don’t have an idea what they’re talking about. Bungie’s connections are referred to as “peer to peer hybrid” instead of dedicated servers or pure peer to peer. This weird proprietary system is a root cause of most of the connection issues and hit registration bugs you encounter.

Cross play. The bad part is we are all forced into cross play. When cross play started I jumped to PC just for the solo que (because solo que on PC is only with other PC players), but now solo que is gone and the added latency between platforms is atrocious.

1 ReplyEdited by Nimune: 11/14/2023 8:04:08 PMIt's a lottery who has the host. If sbmm is present, that makes it worse, as does the declining population (also partly due sbmm).

The damage ref in this game is drunk and angry.

No dedicated servers.

28 RepliesOnly time that happens to me is when I play against ps players. Mad annoying

Have you paid your "registration fee"? Maybe that's the problem.

1 Replyonly get that issue with cross platform lobbies. playing on xbox is pain my shots never hit ps players. not ps players fault but kinda says it all when bungie in their pockets and its been an issue since cross play launched . just another nail in the dead game debate. right up there with lobby balancing

Edited by A_mo: 11/14/2023 4:19:09 PMThat's not anything new really. It can happen for a ton of different reasons but the direction the game is going in should cause it to happen less.

Have had happen a few times. Shoot the enemy. The game makes the little “noise” indicating that the enemy is dead but they’re at a sliver of health surviving.
