It's too challenging. Enemies hit too hard and are too tanky. The first season of light fall sure. After that bring it down a little. I just want to chill. I've gotten the sweat out of my system.

Its not even beautiful. They sold us a futuristic city where we could be like spiderman going from buildings to buildings. In the end we got a random flat patrol area with almost no verticality. Except in places where you NEVER GO

#skill issue

Lol it is not challenging

I wanted to spend more time in Neomuna, because I do like the aesthetic, but not only does it just not have that "interesting" factor like Dreaming City did, Bungie has also almost completely stripped the game of any sense of power progression. When the Dreaming City was new, it was tougher than the rest of the patrol zones, but eventually you leveled into it and it started to feel like every other patrol zone. Now I'm always struggling to find motivation to level my power because it does nothing but "allow" me to do X at a set handicap. A bit off topic, but why can I level in a season to do a GM on the last day of a season, but the next day I'm suddenly not able to? It's the same thing with Neomuna though.

Has to be the most over inflated bullet sponges in destiny . Nobody goes there for fun. its cause they need something . You can gage the game by this planet . If the ads ever get way less spongy then Destiny is back. If that never happens then Bungie will keep sinking.

1 ReplyThey conveniently forgot to add in a cafe or lounge area.

7 RepliesMe and you have different ideas of Beautiful Dreaming City is beautiful , Neomuna boring

Edited by Eatz: 11/14/2023 6:09:40 PMLmao they wanted the new zone to be dangerous to highlight the new dlc, and yet nobody wants to go there because: 1. Everything is a bullet sponge 2: Everything does more damage than it should (to the point where enemies have had to be nerfed multiple times) 3: Trying to farm red borders is extremely tedious and boring (although buffs have occurred) 4: Said weapons are average at best imo(except the hand cannon) 5: Vex Strike forces are for some reason the most least likely public event in Destiny’s history

2 RepliesI just feel bored whenever i go there, idk why i find Neomuna so boring but it just feels kinda empty in the playable areas - yet has so much background noise.

Edited by Joulevette12: 11/15/2023 8:39:22 PMIt's not just Neomuna the issue is that Bungie promotes the destination in expansions but after the first week it's boring because theirs nothing interesting going on no secrets, empty and closed off areas, secret bosses areas, Massive OW bosses, underwhelming chest, Bring back adventure for destination they expanded the world more and added more story to them They became public event farming destination

Other than some jam packed lost sectors to try new builds, after getting all the patterns and reaching pinnacle cap I never want to either.

Edited by Kiro - 13: 11/15/2023 6:15:57 AMIt feels like a landscape exclusively populated by warehouses & not a city. I was hoping for some heavy Cyber Punk 2077 influence but this was sadly not the case. Also I dislike the difficulty nerf they did. You think they are to tanky and deal to much damage now? They use to be more tanky & deal even more damage, but the casual part of the community that has long since left this game cried thus Bungie caved.

It will never not be funny to me that many people were asking for GM's and master raids to be harder because the light 3.0 changes had made them too easy. So Bungie made a patrol zone have legend+ difficulty scaling.
-
Same here. My solution to Neomuna was just use Witherhoard and THEN spray them with my primary weapon. With that combo it almost felt like I'm in a normal patrol zone. But what is most annoying, people at Bungie put some hard work into designing this area. The plaza looks really nice. Why couldn't they use those assets, textures, prefabs to make a Neomuna themed crucible map? Instead we got a map that looks like a demo for a school project. I made more sophisticated maps for Quake 3 when I was a teenager.

4 RepliesAesthetics aside, it’s simply not fun to have such tanky enemies in a patrol zone. Bungie’s insistence on making this game more challenging to appease the bored streamers who literally play this game for a living has killed my motivation to play. I used to play for fun. Now, it legitimately feels like a chore.

I agree on both counts. Although, I think it would have made a world of difference if they had more real life npc's bustling about the city. The aesthetic was beautiful to me, but I didn't like going because it felt so empty and dead. Maybe that's what they were going for, but the desolation never sat right with me.

I can't stand that neodump. It should never have been a thing. In my mind that place does not fit in Destiny. Worst. Location. Ever.
-
2 RepliesI don't even like Neomuna. It looks like a half assed, unfinished demo map that they hastily populated with adds. It's full of ridiculous -blam!-, like they have real plants but they have holographic plants too? In the same place? Why? It's just a terrible area.

5 RepliesNeomuna is not beautiful ... It is too futuristic and and feels like another game tbh . I wish they would bring back mars with escalation protocol . It was amazing for completing catalysts , farming ikeolos weapons , to test out a build or just chill . If i had to choose between playing neomuna stuff for 1min or quit the game for a month then i would quit for a month ..

3 RepliesIt's barely harder than the edz wtf are yall even on about. Use anything that resembles a viable loadout or build and it's not even close to a challenge.
-
After spending days trying to grind out the remaining patterns, I settled on harmonizers and didn’t look back much. Still wanna get a better basso and circular logic with target lock (GM overcharge) but it depends on the amount of people in my instance

agree. it isn’t fun.

elitegmatchmake onslaught, add brave arsenal - old
Destiny 2 patrol planets were never about the difficulty. They were about exploring this new location, grinding something, unique events there (even if they were easy).. its tying you to the world. Then you can launch into something difficult but D2 is not a Dark Souls-like game.. you've got "end game" raids that are made difficult by immunity and damage buffs/nerfs and mechanics.. My thought is the increase in difficulty was almost because of the vaulting+sunsetting because "We gotta give um more stuff to do.. with less stuff to do.. so lets make stuff tougher.. yeah it'll take em longer and we can call it content YOU asked for".... I think it wasn't a fair exchange because somewhere along the line there you lose heart and soul of the universe you created.. not saying I know how to fix that.. but thats how it feels. -
Its not pretty, its not interesting, it a hassle, and way too strong for 0 reason a patrol zone. Quite literally their worst destination even compared to the moon in D1 which was just devoid of anything but they did that so well it gave it some charm and a really cool atmosphere. More Dreaming City like destinations are needed and if you're not gonna do that at least make it like Nessus where it gets regular enough love, has a gorgeous set, and some interesting landmarks. Not to mention a better color pallete. Nessus makes a really simple white, grey, pink, red, orange pallete work extremely well.

5 RepliesNeomuna isn't beautiful, its generic and and the aesthetic jars with the rest of the game. Although I do agree with the never wanting to go there. Not because its too hard simply because there is no point.

10 RepliesI don't mind the difficulty of it and I fully expect Pale Heart in Final Shape to be more of the same. I think what you're describing goes beyond a destination power delta, it's more about what type of content should be challenging. With the amount of power creep that we (the player) has received in the last 1.5 years (Subclass 3.0's, Weapon Crafting, perks that tie into subclasses etc), IMO I think a larger "World Tier" difficult adjustment should be made -- even selectable. After playing Diablo IV, this was the biggest thing I noticed and would love to have in the Destiny franchise. A selectable, scalable difficulty that literally adjusted every enemy, rewards and xp you received. More reasons to play Patrol. Because, let's face it, most of the Patrol Zones in the game unless you're a totally brand new player, you just walk through and breathe and everything falls over. Bungie has already been experimenting with this over the last 2 years in regards to power. - "Legend" difficulty on Seasonal Activities - Legendary Campaign - -5 power delta on playlist PvE activities - Same for Exotic missions - Activities that have ways to increase difficulty in the activity itself (See Deep Dives) I don't know how to solve it, other than having literally different "worlds" that you can load into when selecting a Patrol Landing Zone and then selecting the difficulty. Have the standard difficulty be default, with options scaling up for Rewards, Cosmetics, Materials etc.
