Dear bungie
I have loved and enjoyed playing Destiny 2, but it's time to let D2 go.
Don't bother with the chapters. Don't invest that money into a clearly dying game.
Put it all into the development of a Destiny 3. Go dark on the development cycle and release the next Destiny in like 3-5 years or so. Revamp your tiger engine and fix what's broken. Make D3 have more classes, more playable races, etc...
I would love to see a 100% revamp of the game. Make D3 fun make Destiny fun again.

2 RepliesSince D2 launch, I played through to Forsaken, enjoyed that, but quit for 3 years, came back at Witch Queen, bought Lightfall then literally didn't even finish the campaign and haven't played in idk how many months. I successfully vote with my wallet when I'm not happy. The only reason I'm here now is, since I paid 100 for Lightfall, I will get my money's worth until The Final Shape by discouraging others from spending money on Bungie for the remainder of the time I paid for Lightfall for being ripped off by Bungie on that purchase. Then I will be gone and delete the Destiny app for good. People can do what they want but my recommendation is, Do not buy The Final Shape and don't ever spend money on a Bungie title again.

6 RepliesI don't think anyone wants Destiny 3... Having to rebuild chars and regain the same abilities and exotics is a mega turn off.

3 RepliesEdited by JazzyPaladin477: 11/14/2023 9:57:24 PMYou think someone is going to fund these clowns with no return on investment for the next 3-5 years based on destiny 2’s track record? Nope.
-
After? I’m done when it’s released
-
So you’re leaving when the game is done? Pretty sure lots are doing that lol. I mean I’d hope.

Bungie and PlayStation are busy trying to make Live Service games…. Which is tragic because there is no market for Live Service games anymore. We players can only play 1 Live Service game at a time. Both companies are done with Destiny and are making very bad business decisions. Decisions that will most likely bankrupt them as Xbox Game Pass makes all the correct choices and becomes Standard in the industry. As we gamers simply want Gaming to be a Streaming Service not a Live Service.

After Final Shape everyone is done because that’s it for Destiny

2 RepliesI wonder when the people who “like” this game are going to come to realization that telling more people to quit the game, is going to damage the thing they claim to “like”. Trolls and people who want to see the game burn are at least logical in telling people to quit the game. For those that like the game, perhaps enlighten others to the finer points of the game that they may be missing.

Final shape? More like the Final nothing
-
2 RepliesJust Quit Now. Do what the Rest of us will do....Watch it Free on YT.

1 ReplyBungie is a business. They will continue to modify the game for one purpose, increased profit. Expansions aren't going to achieve that goal. Too much time and money up front, not enough return. Has nothing to do with trust or what devs said in the past. It's a brave new world governed by insatiable greed. I put out $130 for LF. Can't get thru the dungeon or alters and no numbers to chase. Got no use for Neomuna or the tedious grind for exotics I won't use. Never the less, my decision on FS will be based solely on the presence of any nimbus, st 14/Osiris, ana bray type content. I still love Sunshot and Trinity Ghoul. Just give me a new place to use them. I'm out, Seraph Station is calling.
-
2 RepliesSo you’re staying two more years as a response to their poor performance. That’ll teach them.
-
5 RepliesYou can play other games. No need to make a Dear John letter about "leaving ".

6 RepliesDoes that include the episodes that follow through out the entire year or are you just playing the DLC and pulling the plug? D3 would take a minimum 3-5 years for them to create. Longer if it would be an actual new and innovative game. They need income during that time period of development and that would be D2 and eventually Marathon.

2 RepliesI used to count the days to a new DLC so excited to see what Bungie had in store for us. I don’t really care that they pushed it back am I the only one that feels this way? This is the first time that I did not preorder and there is a lesson to be learned at Bungie from this but I doubt leadership gets it.

Edited by iKARUS: 11/13/2023 4:27:19 PMI have truly become indifferent. Cuts are necessary. My beef is how they did it. It was scummy af and just outright disrespectful. The business decisions made did not respect players. Nor the direction of destiny. The tiger engine was already... What 6 years? Now it's almost 16? Plus I think some of tools were from halo odst or reach. Or both? Restrictions on development of hardware/software I imagine happened. Time and resources. But when you have such potential. Why are you not all in? It's just blind and faithless in the product is what translates into what they have sown here. And the hard workers got the shovel. I will say this. The only way I'll care about destiny. Is if Joe and Jason get back on the narrative. Maybe a remix of D1 as what it was originally envisioned. I might hit a discounted final shape. Just to finish the narrative. I won't even watch what happens on media. And just jump. But there is no preorder. No expectation. No want or need. I'm just burnt out on waiting. 🤷 10 years of my life I spent playing just because I trusted the potential and hoped the business ends did too Marketing knew it tho. All those hype trailers. Live action* trailers Miss those. 🍻

1 Reply100% agree. It’s the only path forward. Several people will disagree, but ignore them. They’re bad gamers and they don’t understand fun. Fresh start is always more fun.
-
The thing is, Will Bungie survive long enough to even create D3? If so I wont get it. My experience tells me: The older the better the newer the worser
-
1 ReplyI feel like it’s almost hopium (did I say that right?) there actually will be a Final Shape.
-
1 Reply
Put it all into the development of a Destiny 3
Um, they did that, it's just they called it D2. Must be nice knowing your money wasn't invested in this game you are paying for 🤦♂️

Yes and I'm done gambling after my next spin of the roulette 😁
-
Why wait..🤣🤣 You're waiting for a massive overhaul to this game.
-
After the last dlc you are done? Shocking
-
After, after final shape i am done.
