Confirmed that Stasis is the opposite of Solar
In the Strand Lore book, Osiris states Stasis is the opposite of solar. Strand is still most likely the opposite of void. What would the opposite of Arc look like?
EDIT: Honestly, it should be Strand + Void (Connections of everything, abscesses of anything), Arc + Stasis (Movemnt, non movement), Solar + Decay (Healing/growth, degenerating)

2 RepliesI thought about this. Osiris states that arc is a power that pushes molecules away from each other, it creates a chaos between them, creating what we know as arc. Therefore, if arc is molecules being pushed away and moving in chaos, then the opposite must be a power that connects molecules and brings order between them, or, as I believe it is that Ahsa mentions in the cutscene explanation how the Witness made itself, as the ‘binding power of the darkness’. So, whatever this “binding power” is. It must be the opposite of arc. It’s all theoretical, but logically that makes the most sense. At least to me it is.

Setting aside the vast amount of misinformation put out into the Destiny universe by Savathun, the characters in this narrative have shown they are quite capable of jumping to incorrect conclusions based ob incomplete information, of allowing their biases to influence their rationale and occasionally being surprisingly shortsighted. The last of these is aptly demonstrated by Osiris himself during the [b]Partition: Hard Reset[/b] activity in which he questions the utility of trying to save information left behind by Maya Sundaresh from being deleted from Neomuna’s archives. I wonder if Bungie is able to get another subclass out at some point if they’ll have elemental interactions like; scorch and slow cancel each other out, or stasis crystals conducting Jolt.

sO WE GOT: -Hot vs Cold - agreed -Void/Black Hole vs Sticky Stuff?.. maybe its arc and strand instead? -Lightning... and [b]Water or Liquid?[/b].. I think the Rubber mentioned could also work. ...could also be VOID is gravity(macro physics).. and the next one is Quantum(micro physics) -
1 ReplyStasis should have been Winter, an Earth/Light ability And Void should be a darkness subclass, I mean what do Tormentors use, who are literally constructs of darkness , and the darkness is referred to has "The Void"

You can’t have a flow of protons without splitting the nucleus of the atom which is the basis of nuclear power. I guess the opposite of arc would be nuclear/radiation based subclass and abilities! Fission/fusion class?
