Well turns out your under delivery left you 45% in the red. GGs upper management. GGs.

Under delivery as a work ethic - what could go wrong… discouraging devs to aim high… what could go wrong…
-
Bungie: “Oh no… the consequences of my own actions!!!”
-
To Bungie: Hows the Train Station Model? Ya JT was a Genius, "Don't want to "Overdeliver" because it will set you up for Failure". Well, that aged Very Bad. And Bungie is supposed to be the Pioneers of Live Service? LMFAO!!
-
Does anybody know, if the person, who made this "iconic" statement, is affected by the lay-offs as well?

7 RepliesThe under delivery is not upper management, it is the dev team and their leaders who all came up with the ideas of sun setting, content vault, woke agenda crap, challenge increase, lack of (new maps, strikes, gambit rework, etc) ... Upper management did not cram that stuff out the door, the devs did. Upper management did not make battle grounds and psi op missions that were good for only one season and then decide to force that unpopular activity on the vanguard playlist and include them in the nightfall rotation without modification. Seriously blaming a few suits is not what got bungie here with D2.

5 RepliesSo it didn't have anything to do with having a patrol space that felt like a GM nightfall, Raid/Dungeon/Lost Sector RNG that was atrocious and pathetic, worst in class PvP, a whole dead game mode that I think was called Gambit, a story that sounded like it was written by my kids (I think I just insulted my kids...), game mechanics that required 8 trips to the tower to finish 2 quest steps, narcoleptic servers that have more animals than my local zoo... You're saying that the game is failing because it doesn't have enough of all that crap I mentioned? Ooooo K...

1 Reply45% under the revenue projections does not mean the company is in the red. It just means they missed their revenue mark by quite a bit. The company is most likely fine financially, but they needed to cut costs to fix their numbers.

So they got 1 billion for employees retention last year and that’s all gone like how it show upper management is failing
-
4 RepliesI keep seeing references to this. Would someone mind sharing where that statement is from? I hadn’t heard about it before. I’m missing some context.

3 RepliesI am very curious about Marathon now, with things going way they are it may fail even to release. Even if I may be a little to doomy.

Edited by ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ: 11/1/2023 6:23:09 AMYep. Facts. https://www.eurogamer.net/bungie-reportedly-warned-employees-of-sharp-drop-in-destiny-2-popularity-prior-to-layoffs Lightfall and everything since, is horrible. Half the player base left.

Well turns out your under delivery left you 45% in the red. GGs upper management. GGs.
Fruit of the Nerf. Guess all those go slow updates, egalitarian attitudes and lazy content finally alienated people.
-
2 RepliesThe annoying thing is, most of the leeches and incompetents that are at fault, will not be losing their jobs.
-
Agreed, fault is on upper management preaching “under delivery” it wasn’t the staff’s fault. Shame on Bungie.
-
2 RepliesThis is the first place my mind went too, if you're gonna under deliver as a business model,1 don't, but 2 don't brag/ use it as business advice. And expect the under delivery and admission to it to hurt the playerbase and sales. I feel they shot themselves in the foot by fearing too much success
-
3 RepliesThey delivered on a lot of things and there's quite a few interest groups that can't claim to be totally faultless for wanting what they wanted how they wanted it out of the game. Of course there's things that can get repeated over and over but at the end of the day targets and deadlines weren't being hit. It's obvious those things have to be hit now.
