Final Shape delayed till June 2024
According to Jason Schreier, Bungie have delayed Final shape till June 2024, one of the reasons leading to today's layoffs, while I sympathize with those finding themselves out of work, unfortunately Bungie are becoming even more of a joke of a company.

6 RepliesJust so everyone knows this final shape delay was known and expected for months higher up. An anniversary pack will be announced soon to the Public to have content During the expansion delay. This has always been the plan actually for over a year. Anniversary pack BEFORE Final Shape to maximize sales. * Layoffs do really suck though! Keep in mind they will ALL eligible for unemployment this way. It's paid time off for the holiday season for the guardians. They Easily will find employment after Bungie on a resume Sony is using their own resources to cover for many of these people layed off. ** Basically with Sony Destiny after the Final Shape will soon become even better. In fact it's already making the final shape expansion itself better. This delay is a GOOD thing if you care about Destiny lol! Eyes up Guardians! The future is going to be bright!

I’m so glad I didn’t pre-order, this time. I feel bad for folks that did. I guess it’s easy enough to get a refund, tho.

Maybe they got a lot less pre-orders than they expected? I usually pre-order as soon as it is available but not this time. I’m not even excited about the final shape.

3 RepliesYeah, Final Shape is going to bomb. It was bad enough that development got split between Destiny and Marathon, now people are getting laid off on top of that. Delaying it by four months is not going to save it. At this point, Bungie needs to pick either Destiny or Marathon, put all their resources into one of them, and hope that they'll be able to hire more people in the future. Because if they keep going with their fractured team divided like this, it'll just lead to more lay offs.
