Been shifting away from Destiny for quite some time now and played a lot of Cod multiplayer recently.
Yea, cod has a lot of flaws and issues aswell but oh boy let me tell you, when you play cod for a bit and then play pvp in destiny after, you will see how insane the difference in queue times and connection is.
Destiny 2 just simply doesn't remotely have the playerbase to support a strict SBMM system that these Bungie devs insist on keeping around (it's not "loose" SBMM as they keep saying, its as strict as it gets)
The pain point in Cod is SBMM aswell cause it turns casual games into a sweatfiesta but atleast Cod is playable with SBMM since the connection doesn't suffer.
But hey, the Bungie devs will never face that issue, because 0,5 KD players will find lobbies fast and have good connections :)

The problem with destiny pvp is that it’s population is to small. I was playing trials at go live yesterday I was only matching the same people group of 12 players no variety in team distribution either. Plus pvp isn’t Bungie’s focus for destiny so they don’t spruce it up as much as cod. Call of duty too my knowledge has a higher population (correct me if I’m wrong) and the lobbies are cross platform between pc AND console. Call of duty also has a bigger focus on pvp so they focus on it more. For example they get 3+ map’s every season while destiny is lucky to get 1 map. TLDR bungie focused on pve, destiny low pvp population, cod focused on pvp, bigger population
