Why are you sliding at all in glacial quake? You do know the melee makes you go 500 mph, right?? If anything, you should be has HIGH as you possibly can. This isn’t an irrational ask, I’m just confused why you’re not taking advantage of how fast this super really is.

I am using cryoclasm as movement option. The problem is the following for me: You can' t spamm the melee because it is on a cooldown. Many maps have doorways or narrow chokepoints you have to get through, where sliding is an easier option. I am currently trying a combo of sliding, canceling with the melee and then using the heavy attack. But that consumes a lot of super energy. Also the heavy attack feels super slow when you are high in the air. It feels like you are falling with a parachute. Hence it would be better to simply have the additional option to use heavy slam out of a slide in my opinion.

Ok, again, I cannot stress how good the melee is. First of all, you do not need the cryoclasm aspect to slide high distances or break crystal while in super. It’s built into the super. Second of all, the melee literally turns you into a fighter jet with how fast you can go and it’s lock on is absolutely ridiculous. You should NEVER be using the heavy attack unless there’s more than 1 person in front of you or you need cover. Other than that, you should be as HIGH AS POSSIBLE in the air to take full advantage of the melee’s speed and distance, as it somewhat pulls you down the further you go. You mentioned hallways, and while sliding might be a knee jerk reaction, just hop a little in the air and let the melee take you forward. It’s FAST, much faster than sliding, I promise.

Using cryoclasm doesn’t waste super energy
-
Don’t need cryoclasm in the first place for the super, and the melee takes you 3 times as far.
-
And wastes super energy
-
It would be overpowered if you could bolt across maps for free
-
You can do that with cryoclasm
-
Im getting the sense you don’t know how fast you move when you spam the melee, the super cost is very worth it, I promise

I’m getting the sense cryoclasm doesn’t cost energy

I’ll refer you to my previous comment. Here:
Im getting the sense you don’t know how fast you move when you spam the melee, the super cost is very worth it, I promise
Oh, well when you put it that way, I’m getting the sense cryoclasm doesn’t cost energy
-
Funnily enough, it actually does when you break frozen targets
-
Couldn’t figure out how to get a higher quality upload, but no it doesn’t
-
Must be when you freeze someone with the heavy slam and then it breaks of a separate reason then, because that’s what happened to me this weekend. I was confused why my super ended early and it dipped in duration when someone shattered when I watched it back

Btw do you know if strenght affects the cooldown of shiver strike during your super? I tried testing it but I couldn't see a difference in mayhem. From what I saw it does not, but is a fixed cooldown of like 1-2s.
-
It does not unfortunately. Another thing to keep in mind is being hit by overload rounds will severely negatively impact the cooldown of the super’s melee, from ~1-1.5 seconds to ~4. Very annoying this season as overload hand cannon applies on the first shot.
-
Yeah I noticed, it is also affected by the checkmate modifier sadly... Because I really like checkmate as a mode :/

Ok sounds interesting. I'll give it a try! Thank you for the tip!
