Lost Memento Drop Rate
Why are the drop rate for these memento so freaking low? Are the drop rates less than 1%? Turned in 20+ Eerie Engrams and got none. And yes, I already did the triumphs.

I’ve just given up on playing that mode. I’m not wasting my time trying to get that memento anymore. I’ve used my first memento and have been decrypting engrams ever since with no luck

Takes about two-three engrams for me to get one. I’ve gotten like almost 15.

You can target farm every limited item but the momento which is the most desirable for a lot of peeps, Bungie knows what they doing

They need us engaged with the game. Low drops will make sure that happens because now some chase nothing. With me, if I see what’s happening with rng? If it feels extremely intentional? I stop playing destiny. Sooo many good games to play nowadays.

With RNG, you can turn in a thousand engrams and get nothing. The fact that it’s unlikely does not mean it cannot happen. Hence the people who needed 500 VoG clears to get Vex etc. RNG is a lazy, uninspired, and frustrating mechanic. Make it based on quests, bounties or difficulty or whatever. But not random.

11 RepliesJust to make sure: You used the Memento from the triumph, right? You can only hold one Memento at a time, so you would have wasted all your engrams. From my own experience, the drop chance seems to be around 20-25%, but that may vary depending on your luck. Given how many possible drops you have for the engram, that seems okay.

I have also consumed my initial memento and have yet to receive any additional mementos. Seems like scummy will from Bungo.

I usually get one every five engrams or so? It sounds like you just had bad RNG unfortunately.

Just did 8 and no drop wondering if they broke it again

I get one every 3-4 engrams. Use the one all the way to the left that’s only cost is the engram.
