I understand wanting to make an exotic harder to get for those that are willing to go through the quests; and I definitely prefer a rewarding and challenging quest line as opposed to pure RNG. But I personally think on this occasion Bungie has let the pendulum swing too far in the other direction with regards to the difficulty of this mission to the point that it simply is not fun. For starters the lead up to the actual exotic mission itself is painful because you have to play through the same boring dive activity up to pretty much the halfway point, before you can actually launch the mission. This is assuming you didn't forget to activate a statue on the way there in which case you literally have to restart the whole activity because there's no way to backtrack. Then you get into the actual encounter with the minotaurs and tormenter and you realise that your entire chance of completing the activity relies solely on how high the IQ of your teammates is. I understand this is the case with every activity but here you have to trust that they will survive the ten million bullet sponge adds that spawn in every room, that they'll actually kill the minotaurs before trying to fight the boss, that they'll actually split off and fight the Minotaurs in the maze themselves, then you have to hope to god they can do all this and have the right guns to kill Mr I'm Gonna Keep Smashing You With A Suppressing Attack over and over again inside of a time limit of around eight minutes if you're lucky. If you fail? Well sucks to be you because you get to do the whole entire thing again. Sorry for the long rant and I'm sure many are gonna disagree with me I just had to get my thoughts out there.
