Hey guys, I just picked up destiny 2 on steam this week after a few year hiatus. I am trying to do my placement matches in competitive crucible but on my 5th game (6th really) I was on the last round when i stopped re-spawning. I could type and talk in chat, I could spectate and view everything that was happening, and then it kicked me back to orbit and said that I d/c'd after 2 minutes of spectating. Since this was the second match I had d/c'd from, apparently I triggered some suspension for leavers of competitive matches. I didn't leave, I'd love to reconnect, but there is no option to reconnect to competitive PvP? WHAT? WHY?
Is this a known bug? Or are the servers just having issues? I play a lot of CS:GO and have no issues with connectivity, I rarely D/C, if ever maybe once a month. However this issue has been constant for me in every activity destiny has to offer. Once every two hours I seem to d/c from the destiny servers. Is there a port I need to open?
Also, I had an old account on Battle.net. I am curious if I can link my steam account to my old battle.net account to get my old items, characters, and DLC's. Does anybody have any information regarding how I would go about that?

1 ReplyHi there. I'm not sure why you couldn't respawn. Usually that's because it's a game mode with limited team lives, only teammates can revive you (i.e. Elimination), or the game is struggling to determine a respawn point. I haven't played any comp this season so I'm honestly not sure what the game mode is right now.
Since this was the second match I had d/c'd from, apparently I triggered some suspension for leavers of competitive matches.
Regardless of the cause or reasoning, players that leave multiple matches within a short period are automatically suspended temporarily from PvP matchmaking. The first suspension lasts 30 minutes. Any further suspensions you incur are 60 minutes. In most activities, to avoid being kicked you need to move your character and/or view around.
However this issue has been constant for me in every activity destiny has to offer.
