comp points system
you gotta do something about the points loss numbers in comp. when my teamate DCs after the first round and second teammate sees that and quits, I shouldn't lose 170+ points when I stick it out

If you want ascendant, you have to stack. It is almost impossible to reach ascendant as a solo player. I believe you get less points lost and more points for wins, depending on the skill level of the opposing stack.

Edited by magister1001: 10/20/2023 9:04:31 PMFYI. Right now (well at least a few weeks ago) there is no penalty for leaving a comp match early. No need to lose points at all. This is why people are leaving too. If that gets fixed though your point stands.

6 RepliesIntended feature. Bad players would quit the game if they didn't have a forced 50% win ratio. Comp Score is predetermined by Bungie, so you already have a set score before you even play a match. Once you hit your rank, you gain 5 points but lose 50+ when you lose. The only way you can hit Ascendant with a low Bungie Skill Rating is by being carried by 2 800+ BSR players. Since their aren't enough players to beat said "team," you won't lose, and Bungie won't force them to lose since they are supposed to be Ascendant. The average player in Destiny 2 has a 0.97 kd (not kda) and a 100 Combat rating. Which is roughly 0 Bungie skill rating (Gold Rank). Someone with a 3+kd 250CR is about 850-1000 BSR. So when they lost, they didn't lose more than 20 points, but each win is 100-200 until they hit Acendant.

2 RepliesHonestly they should implement a weekly ban for ppl leaving sick of shitters rage quiting after the first round I'm no were near a God but it erks me when ppl leave after the first round becuse there button hurt they got killed of maybe even a monthly comp and trail ban
