Eruption is the worst ib gamemode by far
Would rather just play mayhem by far since no one plays passive in mayhem. Very boring and impossible to come back from being snowballed. Just make fortress and control the default

I would rather not play Mayhem IB because Mayhem boils down to which team has more Golden Gun Hunters and there is very little you can do to change that.

bungi trying to reinvent the wheel with PvP and failing miserably. OG control and clash IB will always be best IMO.

I would say Rift was probably the worst in D2 history. If you weren’t careful, players would continuously transmat even after the game was over, the Spark wound disappear entirely. It was a buggy mess that shouldn’t have launched the way it did. Eruption is bad in its own way but Rift to me would take the title of “worst iron banner”.

2 RepliesMayhem seems to always come the same week as Iron Banner. I wish they would come in separate weeks. Also, Fortress is the worst Iron Banner mode, hands down.

I like a fortress more but I don’t mind eruption. Throwing a grenade all the time and getting multiple supers in a match is a nice change of pace. Maybe Checkmate will become a 3d mode so primary gunplay is promoted in one every season.

8 RepliesThe alternative to Eruption isn't Mayhem, but Clash. Clash leads to far more "passive" play than Eruption. Eruption was the solution Bungie found.

Passive? You should've seen a player in my first match; I came in second for the lobby with 6 kills, the top of the board (thankfully on my team) came in with [b]25[/b]. That person couldn't spell passive, let alone play that way, lol.
