Instead of giving it extra stats, why not change the catalyst to give the weapon the ability to apply debuffs based on the selected element, for example
- Void mode: applies Volatile
- Arc mode: applies Jolt
- Solar mode: applies Scorch

This would be incredibly broken but what another forum goer recommended would be awesome.
-
Give it “Master of Arms” that would be hilarious.
-
If it was changed slightly to: Void - Grants the perk Destabilising Rounds Solar - Grants the perk Incandescent Arc - Grants the perk Voltshot I could get behind it. Letting the gun apply those status effects with no activation requirement would make it insanely powerful in PvP.

9 RepliesNot only changes elements but now also has more perks? You ever think you're just greedy?

I think a lot of the weapons that were first to get a catalyst needed catalyst reworks. Ex: Sturm

I saw on here an idea about giving a bonus when breaking a shield with a matching type. Part 1: - Genesis (adds utility for doing what you should be doing). Part 2: EITHER - Shield Disorient (already in the game and plays into the theme pretty well with a solid perk). OR - Refraction - breaking an enemy’s shield type applies a debuff matching the gun’s current type. Suppress for Void, Jolt for Arc, and Ignition for Solar.
-
When you destroy a shield matching your element you applied the following effect on the weapon. Solar: Schorcing. Void: Volatile Rounds. Arc: Final Blow Jolts and Blind Nearby Combats.

1 ReplyIt doesn't need a buff. Why doesn't Bungie revert the nerf from 2020. This gun was meta for a short time. You missed it.
-
3 RepliesI saw a post about adding Incandescent, Voltshot, and Destabilizing round instead to prevent it from becoming meta. That's what I'd do, buffing where needbe.
-
Give it the same functionality as tesalation. So depending on energy type it gains jolt destabilise or incandescent etc. Easy

3 RepliesYou might as well ask for it to stun all chumps and supress tormentors and hive supers🙄🙄
