With the upcoming glaive re-work that is aimed for S23 ( I believe ), I decided to finally hop on and get these glaives after not feeling the immediate need to do so around the release of Witch Queen. However I completely forgot that these glaives can only be used on specific classes and I would hope this could be changed. I understand that back in D1 especially, we had certain exotics that could only be used on certain classes, but with so much buildcrafting, loadouts, new mods per season and more these days, I would really like to be able to use the void glaive on my hunter or the arc glaive on my warlock for example. I just think that it would be really cool to remove the class restriction and allow players to experiment with the glaives across the board. Just a thought, hopefully this is seen :)

Have I got some news for YOU~ TL;DR, a bug that made this happen has now become an actual feature~

2 RepliesGlaives suck! Anyone who uses them r noobs who got it as their first legendary. Why would anyone want to rework such a useless pointless item? I’d rather use an uncommon sidearm! *receives death stares* I guess. But honestly I think it’s fine. It makes it feel unique for each class. Which is what I think bungie was going for. I don’t use glaives very often, but I might after the rework.

1 ReplyNot a fan of class exclusivity. I’d prefer it if “class” weapons were instead designed to perform optimally while used by a certain class due to built in synergies, still allowing any class to use the weapon but heavily incentivizing use with a specific class. Instead of making class specific weapons class locked they should instead be built to synergize with certain class/subclass features. Imagine if a class specific weapon got a bonus due to a Titan placing a barricade, a Hunter using gunpowder gamble, or a Warlock using penumbral blast. Every class could still use such a weapon, but the incentives of gaining a bonus while using the “right” class would make it so these weapon would mostly be used by the class they were designed for.

3 RepliesGod, I forgot those even existed. Did they ever get any better? Because they've never been worth the exotic slot in my opinion.
