The past few days I've been solo farming the new Ghosts of the Deep dungeon at a higher frequency than usual, for the Cold Comfort rocket launcher.
I liked this dungeon, it was a fun and a creative adventure to run through. But now I despise it due loot chances.
I've reached a point of frustration due to how low the drop rates are for a specific item, then when you get a weapon to drop, follow that up with the insanely low chance to get that 'God Roll'.
It annoys me after doing some math on weapon roll percentages for this dungeon specifically
(I'm sure it's similar for other dungeons).
But the even more annoying thing is Bungie seems comfortable disrespecting the farming player time investment by offering no incentives to assist.
For example, doing Master encounters do not offer anything of benefit on the weapon side (adept variants, additional perk chance?). This has been an issue for some time now and still has not been acknowledged.
The only drops of benefit in Master are for armour only.
The idea of 'Hymn of Desecration' consumable for weapon farming started and also stopped at Shadowkeep for some reason. (Way to go Bungie, we love the consistency 👏)
Maybe this is Bungie's intention to keep loot drops in dungeons this way, to further inflate player time. But for me personally, it had turned something I enjoyed to something I now resent.
I'm not saying it should be easy to farm, but something needs to improve.
I hope Bungie pick up their game, the content released after Witch Queen has suffered in a lot of different ways. It's disappointing to see the player feedback still not implemented after years.
When things were really bad during year 1 D2, a huge rework of the gameplay was acheived in less than a year by Forsaken's launch. Not sure why it takes so much longer these days. Maybe bring some of those Marathon devs back to Destiny to assist, just a thought.

2 RepliesThey should really let us craft dungeon weapons now, especially the most recent ones as they’ve upped the amount of adds and boss health….I think fixed odds and epicurean were craft-able in duality but even those red boarder drops were abysmal…like with raids I think we should be able to focus the weapon at the end using spoils… Even if I got all the weapons I’d still run dungeons either for fun or even to help people out because they are probably my most favourite pve content to do by far.
