Who uses it? What do you use it in? I’ve never seen a singular person use it in anything I’ve ever done. The only negative effect of this patch is like boss damage? Who in the world uses YAS to dps a boss lmaooo? Quit crying ffs they’ll still be the EXACT same thing in your precious patrols and vanguard strikes. Freaks!

I used a build with yas for a few GM's last season and it was very fun. Very viable. I think the main issue is that bungo can't separate nerfs in PvE and PvP. It didn't need nerfing in pve, as it wasn't the strongest build but it was still good and a lot of fun to use.

I don’t use it for DPS so much as I use it for combo-melting champs/minibosses and majors without burning through heavy ammo.

8 RepliesMany of us use YAS for Boss DPS. That's where its main strength was. You could build a loop of grenade, melee, and Ignition damage. Tripmines aren't exactly an effective ad-clear Grenade. After this change, it's not gonna be much better than Ashen Wake, and I can't remember the last time I've seen someone use Ashen Wake for anything in PvE, can you?

3 RepliesIt is a legitimate PvE build but I only used them in PvP and they did need a nerf. I have seen syntho titans saying the nerf ruins them in PvE which is hilarious and when the Ophidian aspect nerf comes I’m sure warlocks will do the same. The YAS build will still work in PvE but only in lower end stuff.

2 RepliesQuite simply, easy content. A lot of people used it as a fun toy when they had to do strikes or seasonal content. The nerf hasn’t made anything in the game more difficult it’s just made them less fun to use in content that’s brainless. 🤷

PvE mains having to DPS with guns. Oh nooooooo

1 Replycuz they used YAS only for dps

3 RepliesActually really like it in pve right now. The nerfs to the grenade health and DR don't matter, but removing the ability regen on hits and limiting it to kills only pretty much ruins the gameplay loop I used with it in anything outside patrol level content. Not the end of the world, but still dissapointing. YAS will simply become another permanent vault resident once the nerf hits. No real reason to use it anywhere after that as far as I can tell

Edited by Ryan Foxling: 10/6/2023 8:00:38 AMI actually never saw someone using it in pve, like I get that it's annoying that fings are getting nerfed in pve because of pvp and they definitely could have just reduce energy gains in pvp drastically from damaging an enemy, but this exotic barely getting used in pve and it's definitely isn't meta at all. Like for both low and high tier content it's useless and only somewhat viable in mid tier content And I don't even know why people are always upset about nerfs in pve, it's always refreshing to nerf/buff certain things just to make things more interesting, we had a linear and anarchy meta for so long and it's nice to have different options for bosses

9 RepliesI use it almost exclusively whenever I run Solar on my Hunter for very nearly everything I play. But at the same time, I'm not getting bent about the changes, particularly because it wasn't stated that there would be any PvE effect (although I'm not so naive to think there won't be) and more so because it hasn't even been implemented yet and there's no telling how much it'll change anything. Of course, anytime there's something like this announced everyone turns into Vince McMahon doing color-commentary on a wrestling match; "MY GOD, THE EXOTIC IS DEAD! BUNGIE MIGHT AS WELL JUST DELETE THE THING FROM THE GAME! IT'S TOTALLY DESTROYED!" Yeesh.
