make cursebringer proc on bodyshot kills or change the catalyst to that please. Headshots on a 720 rpm (that changes to 900 rpm) autorifle is really annoying. The melee kill to proc the body shot kill activation on the raid weapons feels better honestly, the only thing necro has over them is the chain reaction.

2 RepliesThey would need to reduce a bit of the damage or radius for it to be balanced. Yes, Grav and Sunshot have explosions on any kill but Grav's was nerfed because it was busted and Sunshot's doesn't OHK. As is, Necrochasm getting explosions on every kill would be too strong because it easily OHKs in a large radius

4 RepliesEdited by DuBChiri2: 10/5/2023 3:53:07 PMExactly this. No other add clear exotic like it requires a condition other than kill. It never functioned like this in destiny 1 either. Also, it's catalyst 100% needs to not be outlaw. Change it to some form of damage boost for pve (can be small) or change it to a better stat perk. Or just trigger cursed thrall explosions when you dump a certain amount of rounds into a tough target so it's more viable in endgame.

No. Horrible suggestion due to skill issues. I will say the catalyst should increase the strength of the explosion or increase the duration of the Desperation rate of fire buff. Outlaw on a weapon that already has an intrinsic auto loading function is stupid.
-
1 ReplyTbh I find getting the heads hots a non issue. I fire that thing at full auto I don't burst it to get headshots. Tbh if you can't get headshots with arguably one of the most stable auto rifles in the game then you shouldn't run auto rifles at all

Life...uh...uh...finds a way.

I called it a while ago when I made a post pointing out that Necrochasm would be sort of pointless since they gave us Centrifuse. They both do the same things (arc explosions on precision kills) Maybe they could update it so that rapid kills improves the gun since it's a weapon of sorrow and feeds on death. So each kill could buff the explosion and at 5 kills, body kills would cause the explosion. This buff could last until you stow the gun.

Just hit your shots bro
-
3 RepliesIf you have a warlock with Necrotic grips, you can do this. Melee an enemy, and all enemies affected with poison will explode with necrochasm bodyshots.
-
I'd rather it proc like kinetic tremors - on sustained hits. Make it proc after like 15-19 bullets so this isn't even a buff in pvp since it's pretty good there already.
-
4 RepliesBody shot kill explosion seems like it would be too overpowered - without first having to activate the perk with a melee kill. Maybe a chance at activation would be ok. OR, add the legendary raid intrinsic to the weapon so it could perk off of melee kills in the same manner.
-
Buff Tarrabah, as well, please. (PVE) MASTER OF ARMS was/is better than Ravenous Beast... Maybe change the park to work similarly in PVE. Usage would skyrocket
-
Currently the explosion is applying dot damage to anything that doesnt die, and if you kill them with a body shot or the dot they explode
-
If an enemy has be hit with or affected by damage from another weapon of sorrow you will indeed body shot cursed thrall explode them…. Other than that I think it would be a little too strong if body shots in crucible could 1 shot kill guardians within the massive chaining radius of the explosion. Aim better? The guns a laser.
-
3 RepliesHeadshots should activate cursebringer as well as give a timer for it to activate on body shot kills as well
-
Sounds like a cool addition to pve. Please keep it out of pvp. It's already surprisingly strong lol
-
I'd say body shots kill for PvE. This would be extremely broken in PvP. It is being slept on currently in PvP and im scared to know the results of body shots worked lol.

Edited by an engram full of bees: 10/4/2023 7:57:01 PMOkay just hear me out for a sec…. What if dealing consistent damage triggers a cursed thrall explosion on the target? Kind of like the rockets on quicksilver storm. This would make it way more viable in high tier content, as right now it’s just kind of a “fun gun” for ad clearing.

1 ReplyI think the weapon should also have the same foundry perk as the other crota weapons, meaning after a melee kill the headshot requirement for the explosion is removed. I think that would be fair.
-
3 RepliesIt does do that for any enemy affected by another Weapon of Sorrow, like the poison from Osteo Striga.
