Since the beginning of Season of the Witch, I experienced an issue where, when running either Arc as a Warlock or Strand as a Titan and Hunter, I sometimes get a bird error code. It used to happen specifically in Crota's End's opening encounter and before getting the 2nd secret chest, but since the update on Tuesday (yesterday) it became much worse - I got it like 8 times in a row while trying to complete the 2nd encounter challenge in Master Crota's End, and also encountered it multiple times at the start of the new weekly GM Nightfall this week specifically. I tried the regular network fixes, such as restarting the router, checking for updates to my network adapter, resetting the PC's network settings, but none of these solved the issue. I have no connection problems in any other game (or in Discord while I get these error codes), and I was able to complete a whole raid and a GM without getting an error code at all, so I'm trying to understand what's causing this issue and how to avoid it. Is it my subclass, specific combinations of mods and artifact perks, or just connection issues? I've seen some other reports during this season of people getting error code bird while running Strand, so I doubt that it is my connection, but I hope that it'll be fixed soon because it makes the game quite unplayable (when on Strand at least). Edit: Just tried the GM again and got error codes during the initial part of the GM three times in a row, and then I swapped from Strand Titan to Stasis Warlock and finished the entire GM with no errors on the first try. I played with the same fireteam and the same host, and nobody changed anything between the rounds but me. Would love if someone from Bungie can take a look, since I believe that this is not simply a connection problem on my end. Edit 2: [b]According to my testing, the issue is caused by running Strand Titan/Hunter with x3 Strand Weapon Surge.[/b] I tried many different changes to my weapons, mods and fragments and still got error code bird every time, and then I swapped from x3 Strand Weapon Surde to x1 Strand Surge and x2 Void Surge, did 2 GMs and got 0 Bird Error Codes. I would love if you could look into this. Thanks!
