Have you tried joining via app to see if it’ll go through? If you are already in one in Destiny 2, I think you can only do one clan, you can’t join multiple clans so if in one in D2, it shows in D1. Just a guessing here. 😅

Yup, clans are cross generational now. If you’re in clan on d2, that’s your d1 clan.
