Today is finally the day where helmets are the reward for the legend/master lost sector. Still haven't got Loreley Splendor, but that's mainly because titan is my least played class. Long story short, I do the lost sector 7 times in a row, and don't receive a SINGLE piece of exotic armor, let alone a Loreley.
Last time I checked, doing master doesn't improve your odds, so I stuck to legend difficulty. It's ridiculous that that I spend 45 minutes (including load times) doing an activity for the sole reason of getting the rewards for said activity, and have nothing but some enhancement cores I don't need to show for my time.
Lost sectors are an absolute joke in their current state. They should put a safeguard on how many runs you can do in a row without getting an exotic armor piece. Methinks it should be something like a 25% legend base drop rate, and after 4 completions with no rewards you will get one, guaranteed to be one you don't already have if applicable. Completing a legend lost sector without dying should increase your chances to 33%, but the safeguard remains the same.
Master should be slightly different in how drops work. Base drop rate should be 33%, but flawless increases it to 40%. For every 5 flawless runs you have on master, you should get a guaranteed 2 drops in that span, with the other 3 runs still having that 40% chance. Oh and the rolls should be a minimum 63 on master.
Just some thoughts on one of many neglected aspects of this game that we love to hate.

I just did 6 master flawless runs and got no drop. Anytakers on that logic?

I’ve done them so many times even got flawless runs to get no reward spend maybe 2 hours going back and forth in a lost sector absolutely boring tf out of me just for an exotic and tbh at that rate (and to save my sanity) I would rather they just be random drop, cos it’s a joke how low the drop rates are, I did the helmet last time it was around last week, must of ran 5-6 times both difficulties, got Nothing. I gave up. Then went back on couple hours later and thought I’ll give another try as everyone running around with COD Hardcore weapons insta-killing in crucible, might as well give it a go did another 3-4 runs before actually getting the strand helmet for the hunter. So must of been about 10+ runs, what a chore. And I’ve had it worse then that too.

maybe you don't have the right shader on needed two helmets for the Warlock, within 5 runs job a done but there have been times where it's 12 runs where you only get one, so maybe I didn't have the right shader on that day

I suspect Bunker E15 has a lower drop rate because it's the easiest lost sector with all the little helpers. I got 1 in 10 runs, the other lost sectors gave me more exotics, even with less runs.

If you havent done legend witchqueen on titan yet you can get a free lorrely from that, also master does increase drop chances, it even says that when you look at the rewards.

Only Exotic helmet I had left to earn was the Loreley. So I did a few Legendary LS for the Loreley and received nothing. I did a Master and got it on the fist try. Tried that same method again with my warlock…low and behold! Same thing happened, three times in a row. As soon as I do a Master (after doing a few Legendary) the exotic drops. It didn’t happen once it happened a few times!
