Can we get the option to not wear a helmet while in the world space and while in combat? I was thinking about how some other games have helmetless perks that increase magika while not wearing a helmet, but that also reduces armor protection as a cost for having increased magika.
I’m thinking about Skyrim in particular. You can choose to wear a crown or other type of relic in the place of a helmet that gives the wearer some other benefit at the cost of armor protection.
It would be nice to be able to use our supers and other abilities without a helmet on like how Zavala, Ikora, and some other NPC’s do in some cut scenes.

Concussions are a real thing these days...👷 Lol, you asking for this reminded me of the handful of holdouts who wouldn't wear helmets in the NHL during the 80's.😁 I wonder what the determining factor or reasoning behind helmets on outside of the helm is? I know they use the phrasing "hostile environments" but is it because of hostile atmospheres (breathing/oxygen), hostile enemies (physical protection) or both? Or maybe it's because our characters are forced to be so damn fugly and they're afraid we'll scare potential allies away on diplomatic missions... Hmm, this could maybe be a good racial trait for the Exo! They don't need the oxygen, and they're already armored.

3 RepliesSure. You'll just take 3x damage to the face and not be able to breathe but yeah, why not.

5 RepliesJust imagine walking around the moon without an helmet you will die of oxygen and compression superman 4 broke this rule when nuclear man took an female into space without protection and the audience clowned on it so wearing an helmet is the best option going around alien environments other than earth unless it’s still has particles of radiation then to most The helmet stays on other wise you’re in the tower .

Edited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 9/20/2023 4:11:47 AMNo I keep my helmet on to hide my tears from 9 years of pain, death, loss, and murder, and not being able to tell anyone I should have save Cayde, Amanda, The Awoken, everyone that has died since my 2nd birth, but I need to remind myself I don't save, I am an instrument of war, made to destroy , not to save 😥

I think this is a cool idea! Now, if only Bungie would also implement a way for us to change our Guardian's appearance so some of us don't look completely stupid...........
