Pretty sure this is happening for everyone. But I'm gonna throw my two cents here and guess this might be due to some kind of DDoS attack. I mean, think about it. With all the discouse happening around the game since the Final Shape showcase, compounded with the crafting exploit this past weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if a couple butthurt script kitties are wanting to make things worse for all of us. Just a guess.
