Can we have an auto-sprint option?
I'm a returning Y2 player and I was really happy when I saw a Full-auto accessibility option, since repeated pressing R2 was though on my fingers.
Another great option would be an auto-sprint (after 2 or 3 secs of having the stick full forward) or an Always sprint option, since constantly having to press L3 is not that easy for some people (yes, I'm old!).
I know it is possible to customise inputs, but I can't find a good alternative for sprinting, every buttton already has a function (long press Square could work, but where would I remap special functions of certain weapons?)

Edit: Found a solution that doesn't need any remapping of other buttons. Just realized that there is nothing assigned to double tap Square, so I mapped Sprint to it and it works great. The worse that can happen is reloading the weapon instead of sprinting.
(but, if you can Bungie, please add auto-sprint anyway!)

Thanks![/quote] I'm missing half my thumb on my left hand and would love this idea! Possibly just clicking L3 (left joystick) could enable auto Sprint.

Really, players can't even bother to hold down a key, or strain there thumb from pressing there stick forward First it was "Shooting is Too Hard" Now it's "Running Is Too Hard" Just go ahead and ask for Auto Play at this point smh -
It should be a viable option, when we get a new Rank in the Tower it gives auto-sprint so it's obviously already in the game.

5 RepliesI thought you could set sprint to toggle on or off ? Thats why I do, Long press of L3 to run and quick press to turn it off. Have a look at your controller settings in game.

Yeah, hurts my left hand. They could do like Lego has done fore the last 15 years. Push left thumbstick a little and you creep, a little more you walk, all the way and you run. Probably too technical for Bungle. And since they don't play they don't care.

I configured my controls to up on d-pad is sprint and clicking left stick is the emote it replaced. I can move and quickly tap up to sprint for an easier toggle sprint option. Its kinda like an auto sprint.

It’s not something I like or would ever use but no reason not to add it.

I like the idea, problem is in destiny sprint breaks ads. I think it is supposed to be a feature even though it works awful in practice, so if you had auto sprint, you'd be constantly sprinting out of your ads
