Letting this glitch run free is really disappointing
Just wanted to share my feedback, but I'm pretty disappointed in the general response from Bungie to this glitch. I won't pretend to understand the difficulty in correcting for it, but embracing it by telling everyone to have fun was a bit too far.
I don't find this to be fun in the slightest. Every activity involving other people right now is infected with cheaters -- and yes, I understand it's a glitch that bungie has embraced for the time being, but it is 100% providing an unintended advantage; it's not an accidental occurence, but something that people are choosing to do with full intention that they are gaining an advantage.
LFG -- both across the community as well as in Fireteam Finder here on bungie.net -- is almost exclusively oriented towards cheaters at this time.
I sincerely hope that this will be addressed before Master Crota's End launches at reset, it would be a shame to ruin what was a fantastic reissue by allowing this kind of poor behavior to continue unfettered.

10 Repliesobviously one is more serious, but this is the equivalent of letting looters run rampant in your stores while the people with actual morals stand by wondering wtf is wrong with society. "Well we failed to provide security for the store, have fun smash n grabbing!" See how this looks to those who want to have a fair pvp experience? Everyone cheating in PVP should be met with a long ban, simple as that.

I really hope they fixed the reservoir burst gltich. After the "fix" the gltich wasn't fixed at all. Dudes are running around crucible with one shot bows with resevoir burst, which is a perk for fusion rifles. It's insane. They should have disabled crafted weapons as soon as they became aware of the problem.

Bungie just committed a sin I’m not sure I can forgive. Turn your players in to cheaters because they don’t care or don’t want to spend the money whatever the reason. I say Not A Chance Bungie. I will not compromise my good name for your garage.

A year back and before, they would have INSTANTLY disabled crafting, disabled trials at the very least and would have temporarily locked crafted weapons until the fix was ready. Now that their main focus is on marathon and the other unannounced upcoming mobile game, they just let it happen. A massive bug like this should have never been ignored, it's laughable really.

12 RepliesPeople watering down 3 man raids solo gms and titles. Bungie has really just made the hard game content for crap players and its not fun. Some players enjoyed the skill it took to get a seal like solo dungeon but because of this glitch thats gone very sad. Nice one bungie water down the game for players who actually cared.

17 RepliesI agree. People compare this to the Prometheus Lenz when it was an instakill in PvP. The problem with this comparison is that Xur specifically sold the weapon because Bungie couldn't fix it in time, allowing everyone the ability to easily acquire and use it. This glitch however involves manipulating frame rates or net limit your internet connection to be successful. This is not something that can be replicated by everyone, thus leaving a lot of players at a disadvantage. Bungie should have disabled all crafted weapons immediately. This is a poor response.

Dropped into Crucible last night and it was full of Igneous Hammer Adepts or fully crafted raid weapons.. By letting players keep the spoils from their use of exploits, you've screwed over all those that chose not to go that route for whatever reason. I crafted a couple out of curiosity but figured it was so bad a glitch that you'd roll it all back, so didn't bother. Then the game turned into a farce while it was allowed to happen. Because of how big the glitch was and how many exploited it, it's, basically, corrupted the game. In the 18 months or so I've been playing, I've bought all the DLCs, invested thousands of hours in it and enjoyed how unique it is compared to other shooters, none of which have interested me. It was the most fun I've had in a game, until now.. There are other games out there for brainless shooting, Destiny has never been one of them.

1 ReplyIm a new player only started maybe 16 days ago, i cant even play the game.. i have no access to this sad act glitch people need to use in PvP .. in trials i cant even shoot once before im blown to pieces, before the glitch i was doing rather well as im a long time shooter player but this has ruined my weekend, i was looking forward to doing trials and unlocking some more new stuff, i guess ill go and F myself and wait until its patched before i can even play the game.. what an amazing new player experience, just disable crafted guns until its fixed, if people need glitched weapons then your just actual trash at the game.

I expect Bungie to do a rollback. Its surprising how quick Bungie patched the Necrocasm dropping outside of contest mode but are letting this slide.

1 ReplyI think they should have disabled them in pvp at the very least. I went ahead and took to soloing dungeons. Did spire and shattered throne. Even went and three manned templar a couple times for some extra spoils (didn't drop). Gave up on pvp after i saw so many people using it. Even decided to solo a gm with it. Got all the way to half of final bosses health left before a cursed thrall slid into my -blam!-. It was definitely the highlight of pve for me in a while. Now I'm going back to Mass Effect 3 to finish my insanity runs.

40 RepliesBy letting this go, Bungie has created a two Tier player class, of those who exploited this and those who didn't. Previous Seals and Triumphs achieved are now rendered worthless because players who probably never would have gotten them, did. And, you have a class of Guardians with fully crafted, dungeon weapons they picked up courtesy of this glitch.

The more I see it this argument like Ppl who doing the glitch say "it's not cheating" Ppl who are not able to do the glitch say "It is cheating" I say it's kinda both it is a exploit bug overlooked by Devs and now players taking advantage of it in the mean time I say turn off Pvp or everyone needs to leave the game in the meantime till it's fixed sitting in the forums asking for bans not gonna solve this issue

If this is the most 'fun' you've had in this game...that's a big tell that a) this game has grown boring and stale and b) ya'll need to move on to other games.

12 RepliesCompletely agree. Respect the game you've spent 10 years building a little more, the "gg have fun ;)" response stings a lot. Disabling crafted weapons immediately would have been appreciated; instead we get bad players expressing how much they enjoy being bad players while being validated by Bungie.

2 RepliesIt's not cheating... cheating is breaking the rules. No rule has been broken here, a bug has been found an exploited the same as any other that's ever been found and exploited. Rather than just disable everyone's crafted weapons immediately though, Bungie realised that this is the most fun some of us have had in a while and let us have that fun. Bungie know that it's JUST a game and of course they always planned to disable everything before the Master Raid drops and that's fine. All that matters is they showed that they aren't complete sticks in the mud and know when to just let go for a day or two. It sucks you're disappointed and all but I think if only a few are disappointed while the rest of us had some fun, that's a good trade.

I'm fine with it. I don't know how to do it, and I'm not going to bother since it will probably be fixed pretty quickly, but I enjoyed Nightfalls on my Hunter with someone in most runs deleting everything. I might feel differently if Bungie wasn't completely destroying the game with mediocre content (like battlegrounds as Nightfalls), but they are. And yes. You ARE angry. You ARE sad. Get over it.

Meaning the bungie favor the cheaters n hackers now I ask my self where is our money here after microtransactions left and right n 100 dlls each stupid season to get this mess is like a bungie is given us a middle finger in our face
