I never got to see the film so I decided to get the comics on which it was based because I heard they were good. And they are actually really good comics I think.
Has anyone else on the Flood read these comics? If so what did you think of them?

I'd go -blam!- for Wallace Wells. ;D

Even the movie admits it. But both are still AMAZING.
Yeah, I'm getting the DVD when it comes out, but I just can't imagine Michael Cera as Scott after reading the comics.
That's what I thought originally too, I'm not a huge Michael Cera fan and I didn't think he could really portray the character right. Surprisingly though I thought he actually did a great job, as did the other actors.
Aye. Had the whole, original plotline been used as-is, Cera wouldn't have been able to act in the film very well. However, because they based the movie heavily off the mood of volumes 1 and 2, I think he's the only actor who could have pulled off the nerdy, kind-of-shy early Scott. Once the story got progressively deeper (Volumes 3-6) He'd have had a hard time, I feel.
You got that right, I actually felt kinda sad when Ramona disappeared at the end of volume 5.

Yeah, I read them a few months ago. Loved them along with the movie.

Read them all a couple months ago and I loved them, the movie did change up the story a bit (understandably though, they had to tell the whole thing in 2 hours) but it was still amazing too.
