Please just make it so you get less ability energy when you hit an enemy player. You are killing my favorite exotic in the game. You wonder why PvE players hate PvP.
-
3 Repliesit actually died in pve now...you don't get any energy melee hit anymore and only 50% for melee kills...i mean the build was pretty strong in pvp but wtf? i mean from the top 100 trials players there are only 3 warlocks and 5 hunters...there is a reason why in high skill lobbys there are mostly titans...also strand hunter is a way bigger thread than solar. so why kill it? at least make it get less energy on pvp hits....but why dfck kill it in pve?

10 RepliesHow hard is it to nerf it in pvp and not in pve`? Well for bungie it seems imposible. this is whats so annoying with this game, they cant nerf stuff separate from pvp and pve,its like so they dont want us to enjoy the game.

15 RepliesEdited by Hawpy: 9/15/2023 3:14:11 AMThe reaction to this has been incredible. First of all, the nerf is fully justified on the PvP side. On the PvE side, there are people threatening to quit over a change that they don't even know the specifics of yet. Currently, it can grant 66% grenade energy for dealing damage with a Tripmine or Knife Trick, and 33% for other sources. Between that, Grenade Kickstart and Tripmine's inherent low cooldown, it's not going to be killed; you just won't be able to turn your brain off while using it. If you've been maining one build for the last 5 years and can't find enjoyment in anything else, that's a you problem. Gunslinger might not be usable in endgame content anymore? It's hardly the first subclass that has ever happened to. Its potential for ability spam is on the same level as Starfire Protocol and HOIL, both of which have been nerfed already. Hunters don't get to complain that those ones were deserved but say that this one isn't. I'm sure there were very few objections to Chaos Reach and Geomags being gutted because of PvP years ago, with them only now being in a usable state again.
-
I said that to Joe Blackburn and he said, "What's PvE?"
-
Exactly. It was NOWHERE NEAR the power of starfire protocol, yet it’s getting murdered even harder, simply because it’s broken in pvp. Literally makes me mad cus it was my favorite pve hunter build. Now I’m stuck with an even smaller amount of good exotics on hunter. At least I’m not a hunter main I guess
-
Xur has it for sale. Get your legendary shards ready. (Classic Bungie, well played) Lmfao
-
I’m a pvp player, but I totally agree. I really wish they made it so it just doesn’t gain bonus health for the actual tripmine which makes it really hard to counter, and it doesn’t scorch guardians so they’re not out of the fight for so long. Then it would still be strong, but still equally good in PvE
-
This game has to many employees with nothing to do. And it shows, thinks its time for a massive layoff and refund the players for light fail. Call it a day bungie at this point you should just remove all exotics and bring rares back in the mix .
-
1 Replythe real problem was the HP on the nade and not the energy since YAS can't get energy back if they shot the nade of the wall but that nade has to much HP
-
I agree, as a main titan i hate that exotics, but in pve is auto sufficient and not broken in any ways.
-
give us back the double tripmines an I'd be ok with the change
-
12 RepliesWho cares. They’ve made it clear they are making exotics cater towards a single sandbox. Barely any exotic in this game is viable in both sandboxes since their introduction. To treat this as a nerf instead of a simple change is petty. This exotic receives near zero usage in pve. I don’t see any PVE antaeus wards titan malding right now.
Please just make it so you get less ability energy when you hit an enemy player. You are killing my favorite exotic in the game. You wonder why PvE players hate PvP.
Makes you wonder why they are part of an exotic quest pandered by ikora Zero point in doing that one
-
Yeah this exotic is going to be dead in PvE, which is sad, it’s one the builds that brought fun back to the game for me. It’s not OP, I would never use it in GMs, it’s just fun. I really think reducing the values in PvP so that it takes a full kill of damage, (but not a kill) to refund would be the same result without destroying this in PvE.

Goodbye Fire Hunt, my only fun was officially deleted due to official deletion

1 ReplyDon’t care, it’s a issue. Grow up

2 RepliesThey may have well have removed the exotic all together - that's how bad this is. At this point, this will likely kill th game entirely for me. I've mained YAS since Forsaken, before it was ever called broken, and sure, I have other builds, but they were nowhere near as fun and I never identified with any other exotic more than this. But it's worthless now, because of a nerf to PvP that's not even going to be effective for the intention. This adjustment could have been simple, remove the damage resistance against player weapons in PvP or reduce its PvP Damage/Scorch stacks. Instead, they went around that completely killed the rotation for this Exotic. This is not an add-killer exotic, this was Major to Elite exotic and a fallback when you needed more damage and were out of ammo reserves. It had zero endgame weight against other exotics that preform better above legendary difficulty. It had no objectons among anyone in seasonal activities. The only problem, was PvP. It was loved eveywhere else. But the change utterlly destorys its usage in PvE. You won't use this above several other now better performing exotics. Calliban's Hand was superior at addclear in PvE. Star Eaters, Shards, hell even Nighthawk deal better damage with bosses. This exotic no longer has an identiy aside from "Oh hey, yeah your trip mine has a bigger radius." Everything else can be made up for with armor mods. I'd say I'd never use this over Caliban's hand now, but the truth is, I don't want use Caliban's hand as a subsitute to what I had with YAS. I'm giving them a chance - I'll see how it plays when it happens. But I'm likely refunding The Last Shape if they don't walk this back. I'm tired of the attitude of making horrific choices that impact players negatively and then coming back with a half-apology. This is just the final straw as it hit personally.

1 ReplyWait, these are getting a nerf? Why though? And before Anteus? Who's complaining about these? This makes no sense. BTW yes Hunter main. But I never use these. Ever!
-
1 ReplyDestiny is a PvE game balanced around its terrible PvP. It’s beyond absurd.
-
I hope bungie reads these forms cuz if they do they are absolute -blam!- idiots! why ruin something so good! what’s the point of having an exotic if all it’s going to do now is not even benefit you

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
In Warframe there is 2 separate sandboxes, weapons and abilities behave totally different in PvP than PvE But little Indy dev Bungie can't pull off such technical feats -
Yet another harsh nerf to pve because of pvp issues. Hate to see it
-
2 RepliesHuge L for this build in pve. Solar hunter is basically a meme at this point in anything harder than strikes
-
Edited by Ghostfire239: 9/15/2023 1:27:38 AMWell that’s unfortunate. Kinda wish they found a way to nerf it for PvP only and leave it be in PvE but I guess not. It was fun while it lasted I guess brothers. On to the next.

Hey Titans, I’ve got the popcorn and the beer. Grab a seat and kick back..🤣😂🤣

8 RepliesI would love the list of pvp changes that ruined pve exotics.
