RNG lately. Should drop rates be disclosed on the items, be it armors, weapons, or non-guaranteed quest items
Anyone else noticing that RNG for certain rewards seems to be... particularly crappy as of late? Specifically for Nightfall weapons and, as of recently, the new "ritual" armor. Went from Brave 2 to Legendary on Zavala's rep and dropped 0 armor pieces and 0 nightfall weapons. I've heard from other players far worse RNG even.
Not even gonna mention the Oversouls thing, already more than enough posts about that in here.
On that note... anyone else thinks that items should come with a disclosed drop rate? All items, not just weapons. Feel free to answer on the poll.

7 RepliesEdited by TACO_Adept: 9/14/2023 9:46:57 PMI disagree.. Ghosts dungeon 3 times and got 2 exotic trace rifles. Kings Fall about 4 times, TOM x2. (Don't use them btw) Lost Sectors..my PB is 16 exotics in a day. Scored 10 of the Adept HCs yesterday. Maybe I'm just lucky..

1 ReplyVoted no because it would just lead to more complaining if: certain items didn't have the same drop % as others; or if items didn't drop exactly at said %. Rng is part of the game, always has been. Knowing more doesn't change that. Instead of playing the game by spreadsheets, people should just play the game. If they don't enjoy it, find games that you do enjoy and play those.

RNG has been slowly getting worse and worse in this game and my self and many that I play with are playing less because of it. The inconsistency of farms/loot accessibility from one activity to the next has become beyond frustrating. Dungeon weapon roll, world weapon roll, and playlist weapon roll chases are absolutely awful. Chasing dungeon weapon rolls has easily been the most frustrating and disappointing experience of my gaming life, and I’ve been gaming for over 30 years. It’s just unreasonable, and unnecessary. There are zero benefits to the player with it being like this. None whatsoever. So I can only assume it’s an attempt to garner excessive play time from people. I’d love to be wrong. I’d love to hear from Bungie how this rigid RNG benefits us. Don’t respect my time and effort, and you won’t get either from me. It’s to the point that you’re now not getting my money either. And I know I’m not the only one. Edit: And now we see these new playlist armors that were “gifted” to us because Bungie went back on a promise they made arrive with horrible drop rates. The older season weapons from the exotic missions rotator are in a large pool making it an awful farm. Then these old ornaments are completely outrageously priced in Eververse. It’s SO disappointing to see the game in this state right before it’s big finale. It’s SO disappointing to see this lack of respect for player time and effort like this right before the big finale.

When mhw was still in it's prime their companion app had all the information of items and parts from their rarity to their percentage chance of acquiring some items having a 1% drop chance. I always advocate for clarity so you know what your getting yourself in for

I am still to see ONE new sidearm that is in the world pool. I've seen a picture online what it looks like, didn't get a single one to drop, not to mention a good roll lmao. We must get world drop loot focusing like in Plunder back.

1 ReplyI wish they would. I can look up the drop tables for whatever I'm doing in Warframe and it feels great to be able to. I don't always agree with the drop rates but I at least know what I'm getting into.

1 ReplyMore info is always nice, but.... People would still whine about them if they were disclosed. I don't think it would do anything but harm. For instance if they said oversoul essence was a 5% drop (for the sake of conversation. this is inaccurate, obviously) a few things would definitely happen: People would whine it's too low, want it buffed to X, then whenever it's buffed to X, it will still be too low and need to be buffed to Y. And that's if people believe the number Bungie gives them, which many wouldn't, and it would spawn posts of anecdotal evidence where Jimbo does ten raids, gets no essence, and says the drop rate is actually 0 or some garbage.

I've heard from other players far worse RNG even.[/quote] Personally I've ran 39 Nightfalls, reset my Vanguard Rank twice, and seen two pieces of the new ritual set (on runs 31/33). I've heard other ritual modes (IB) have better drop rates but I cannot confirm one way or the other.

No. Nightfall weapons are guaranteed drops on GM difficulty. The higher the difficulty the more common the drop is. Also it’s about time we got some rare cosmetic drops.

1 ReplyRNG trash since Lightfall dropped. No new exotic armor yet. Hit arms hard last couple times and Vex incursion has -blam!- time showing up and still doesnt drop "heavily weighted" new exotics
