In D1 Eidolon Ally and Husk of the pit weapon drops were world based drops that gave you a teaser and quest to go after with the Necrocasm .. These days the Devs are just catering to the toxic 1% or to their cash cow streamers and shafting the majority of the community .. It’s become that toxic they have locked up a quest behind a raid completion for Crota along with previously based world drop weapons.. Obviously they make out it’s available to everyone free but they know only a few % will get it ..
