The LFG community is toxic

I'm trying to play the new raid and I never played it before. Even in D1. The second I say "hey this is the first time I'm doing this" I immediately get removed from the team. What's the point of learning a new raid if no one wants to teach. The LFG community has become so toxic it makes me not even want to play with others.

No other game can you find an abundance of people willing to teach (and learn) literally end game content like this. So much so that Destiny literally has trackers for this stuff, emblems for this stuff, Discords, Reddits and websites for this stuff and has invented its own terminology for it - Sherpa. Make your own post. Join posts that say “chill/learning/noobs”. Avoid posts that say KWTD. I have done every single raid in this game (except VoD) completely blind with zero prior knowledge from videos or written guides and have been taught by people in groups I’ve joined which has then led to me teaching other people in other groups I’ve joined and the circle of LFG life continues. If videos and written guides are your schtick then all the better. Go ahead and watch/read them and then join those KWTD groups because you will KWTD

It’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old

Some parts of it certainly seem to be. There are still good people on there, just hard to find.

  • I'm interested in running the new/reprised raid and have never tried it before. If you're still looking for teammates, I'll be logged on in a little while, should you want to send an invite.

    • People are well within their right to want quick runs. The raid is time consuming enough without teaching. That being said, you can make your own group and look for people to teach it to you.

      • Make your own group. Quit expecting other teams to carry/teach you. And most of all, quit thinking you should only be the "ad clear guy"

        • You could simply ask the person before joining if they would teach. Or you know, make your own post. If you join a "KWTD" post and haven't done it before, a kick is expected

        • Right now a LFG post says FIRST TIME NEED TEACHING, join one of those.

        • You'll get players like that, sadly. I've been fortunate not to encounter any yet since I left my old clan cause they were exactly like that. Just like the one player posted LFG, then put first time and need a sherpa and hope for the best. Another is what you can do is look at videos and not just one video look at multiple to ensure you know what everyone strategy is or following.
