I know it was only a nerf of 390rpm to 360rpm but suddenly, the only weapon I use in Crucible, is getting out shot by everything.
The reason I feel it should be reverted is because it was only slightly better at killing than other weapons since the previous nerf.
When you nerfed aim assist by 25% and the cone for headshots, it saw a MASSIVE drop in usage, no longer making the top 10 list for many many months.
People that were decent with it were only because it rewards being able to hit headshot, with low aim assist and massive flinch.
But now I've gone from not worrying about others weapons at the beginning of the game saying "as long as I'm on my game I can do this" to "OH GREAT, JOTUUN, CRIMSON AND AMMIT".
Normally, I wouldn't post this, but let's be clear. Ammitt or whatever, the autorifle, is significantly better now cause of how much damage it does, and it is twice if not three times easier to hit headshots. Vex bodyshots are a guaranteed loss in a fight.
But you promised with the last nerf you would leave Vex Mythoclast cause in your own words, you stated that you felt that because it is a hard weapon to chase, you want the player to at least feel rewarded for getting Vex.
So it isn't just the reduced rate of fire. It is the buff to autorifles too. Have you ever seen a teeter totter?
For God sake, this is still happening? Destiny 1 Year 1 Surous was the ling in Crucible. It needed to be toned down. The problem is handcannons were decent as was, and 10% nerf to autos would have made them even. But you guys buffed handcannons as well? By 10%? Leaving Thorn and Last Word to dominate Crucible till Taken King.
How are you STILL making these same mistakes where you BUFF some AND NERF others, tipping the scale completely?
Anyways. I digress.
Why even have a Vex Mythoclast that requires you to get to the point of raiding, and MOST people having to clear it so many times in hopes it will drop, if some newbie will outshoot you cause he has a weapon on easy mode (Ammitt is top 3 right now) that he got randomly from a Fallen Captain.
If you wanna make weapons dominant, at least make it the ones that are harder to get, so our time invested actually feels worth something OR weapons that aren't so easy to use, cause again, Vex after 25% aa nerf and cone nerf, was high risk high reward. Ammitt and Jotuun don't require skill let's be honest.
- Sincerely, if you make me vault my 51k kills Vex, I will just vault this sinking ship instead.
TLDR; Weapons shouldn't be nerfed while you are also buffing the other option, because that makes twice the change, opposed to one like Bungie seems to think. Tipping balance towards complete imbalance.
In addition. Raid weapons shouldn't be out classed by world drops.
Time investment should mean something. I could use Ammit don't get me wrong but I won't crutch it just cause it's the top #1 in Crucible right now.
Vex Mythoclast is just an example, Raid, Trials and Dungeon exotics should mean something.

1 ReplyVex mythoclast has probably been assigned enough meaning. That is a long post about vex mythoclast. All the stuff from the raids and dungeons should have meaning but they can't just be the best things forever when there's going to be new raids and dungeons. I personally don't have a problem with raid weapons being borderline comical as long as everything thing else is working. The came can't keep adding too many things like that to have in pvp at once though. No one would like if that were to get too bad. So vex is a pretty old raid weapons that still seems pretty strong.

1 ReplyYeah this pretty much sums up the problem with it. It's now just a worse version of what is widely considered to be one of the worst legendary weapon archetypes in the game. Leaving it at 390 rpm with its current 30m of range would have given it its perfect niche without making it overpowered.

3 RepliesYou are getting out-shot because you are use to how good it was. Meaning, you were out-shooting them. Ie the reason for the nerf. If it was as good as it was with the added adjustments to auto rifles that took place this season.. You would be out-shooting everyone. The approach is to think tactically with the weapon of your choice. You literally answered your own question with your post… But you are looking at it with an opinion of why am I not dominating with an op weapon anymore.
