I don't understand who in the right mind would ever bother doing the Savathun's Spire and Altars of Summoning activities when they are SO DIFFICULT to deal with. Like seriously, we die faster than we can get an objective done. Who thought that was a great idea for gameplay? I refuse to believe Bungie's lies when they claimed that they were going to be fair to us players this season. I see these activities, along with EVERYTHING ELSE during this season as a joke, a lie, and waste of my time and life. I hate the weapons, I hate the armor, I hate the armor ornaments, I hate the story, and I hate that I have to get the Psi Hermetic V pulse rifle in such a convoluted matter. Why does THAT weapon out of all other weapons have to be a rare drop? I hate that so much. Destiny 2 deserved better, yet all I see is it getting worse every single day. I seriously hate you Bungie.

skill issue my friend, spire is just a vanguard difficulty with a lot of mobs, altars you can choose the difficulty so even bottom 1000% players can finish it
-
1 ReplyI love the fact that these activities exposing who aren’t good in the game

Edited by Darthy: 9/6/2023 6:10:22 AMRun 100 resilience and build for add clear and survival. Healing effects and play smart I have no issues on spire it's easy enough summoning can get challenging if the team is bad or just keeps making fatal mistakes but the all part of the matchmaking lottery. Also if you wonna have a easier time join a clan or lfg for a good team

Alters modifier this week is TOGETHERNESS 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮I’m assuming it goes back to attrition next week? What a horrible set of modifiers 🥱
-
1 Replymy biggest pet peeve is when my teammates dont do the objective and leave after we fail
-
The weekly modifier this week and last week aswell in Altars is -blam!- I'll give you that. Spire is very easy with a half proper build so maybe get working on that. Other than that maybe try taking a break, playing another game for a while ?

1 ReplyEdited by Prowler690: 9/4/2023 9:13:13 PMJust had a quick look at your character and I suggest you look into build crafting as you will notice the difference. Unlock the legacy vendors in the helm so the engrams can drop and use these to focus armour for your titan. Use a ghost with discipline armour focussing and aim for 100 in resiliance and discipline with recovery being a 3rd choice. There are many build guides on YT and Mobalytics by Plunderthabooty, Matics,Divide etc to give you pointers.

2 RepliesAltar of summonings really shows the skill gap and just how awful some players are at the game. I swear most blueberries run 5 resil / don’t even know how to do half the mechanics, they just sit there and drool on themselves then go to the forums and complain that it’s too difficult.
-
Having no 10 light level power grind hasn't helped either
-
3 Replies5% players love it, no one cares about the rest. Everything in the game is focused on top 5% and balanced around them since LF. I have no problems with altairs tier 3 or anything else, difficulty is not the problem for me, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to see what's happening and how they ruined the game for the huge majority of players. Gatekeeping is toxic.

4 RepliesEdited by mxgreg: 9/4/2023 4:00:17 PMI like the Savathun's Spire. I solo'd it once yesterday fairly easily. I'm on xbox and almost always matched with people on PlayStation and pc and what I notice is sometimes with certain groups I die super easily. I'm not sure if it's a bug or from crossplay, but it varies so much. I've done a Spire run without dying, but with some groups, I can't stay alive. I left Spire match last night that made me think I was done with it for good... and then relaunched and had a great time. Something feels off to me. Being on xbox I'm almost always cross-platform. It could also be related the leveling adjustment. For Altars of Summoning, I don't enjoy it. Seems like too much agro. Too much going on. Even when I watch the pros do it, it looks like a lot of cowering around corners. Also, tons of stuff to kill with very little ammo. It's great they nerfed double specials but didn't fix the ammo bug that drove people to use double specials in the first place. One tip that might help some of you. Crimson is pretty good and will help keep you alive. Titans can also run a hammer build, and Warlocks Arc Rift is so good right now. For hunters, I'm not sure.

5 RepliesAlter of summoning is a failed idea and highlights why dungeons and raids will never have matchmaking This game is frustrating for randoms. I play with a lot of bad players
-
1 ReplyWhat you on? Spire is dead easy. Altars is only bad if you have blueberries sticking powerful offerings in when they have no idea what they’re doing. Just gotta rush to stick a tier 2 offering in before they do.
-
Spire is easy but it's tedious and predictable and stagnant right out of the gate. Altars are terrible. Some -blam!- who cannot do anything right will always get there first and give the most powerful offering.

4 RepliesThe seasonal activities are great and I’m having a lot fun playing them. You can pick your difficulty level so that’s a non issue to complain about. Lots of players don’t get the buff at the beginning of alters. Each fireteam member stands on the 3 matching symbol for the buff.
-
2 RepliesSpire is easy, even on legend. AoS you can pick your difficulty, so just do feeble offerings.
-
TheCrimsonCrow is a joke.

i really enjoy both of them. Some of the best season modes in a while!

3 RepliesMy only complaint against Spires is the time-gating re the choice of element. I did sol on my W, then, when done, switched to my H to do void or T for arc - only to find it’s been gated. 🧐 No probs…I understand why BHQ did it that way…though it would have been nice to have the option to choose! 🤧 My main gripe with Altars are the selfish speedrunner(s) who race ahead and pick tier 3 - then die pdq thereafter, again and again and again. 🤡 Apart from LFG, as a solo player, and an old tortoise to boot, if 2/3 in the group made the same selection, eg, tier 2 - then that’s what we’d run. It might take a few inputs before a 2/3 consensus is reached, but that’s preferable to surviving a tier 3 until nearly done or it ends as a failed run. 🧐 Just my thoughts. Ease springs! 🫡

Edited by whateverman7: 9/4/2023 7:12:07 PMSpire is easy, just takes longer compared to other seasonal activities. Altar is annoying cause everyone wants to do level 3, even if they not prepared. If people just did more 1s and 2s, it would be a better experience, although it still is a longer activity. The pulse is a world drop, you can get it from any activity or legendary engram.

3 RepliesMaybe don’t go into hard content with the resilience of a wet paper bag

So I slogged through legend spire. Got to the boss and had a good strat going. I was shooting him with Thunderlord from a good spot that he couldn’t get me at. So what happens? He magically teleports AS I’m shooting him. Next thing you know he’s on top of me and two shots me. GG Bungie. So -blam!- typical that they inflate difficulty with cheesey mechanics.

Edited by A_mo: 9/4/2023 12:48:55 PMSavathuns spire is easy. Realizing that you shouldn't put the powerful charge in the alters over and over again for an hour is a fun learning experience! Other than that it sounds like you just want the pulse rifle really bad.
