Devs cater yet again to the 1% with Eidolon Ally / Husk drops
In D1 Eidolon Ally and Husk of the pit weapon drops were world based drops that gave you a teaser and quest to go after with the Necrocasm ..
These days the Devs are just catering to the toxic 1% or to their cash cow streamers and shafting the majority of the community .. It’s become that toxic they have locked up a quest behind a raid completion for Crota along with previously based world drop weapons..
Obviously they make out it’s available to everyone free but they know only a few % will get it ..

It's easy to start. You only need to jump in at a crota boss checkpoint. Finishing the quest requires about 5 completions, or a load of encounters. It's not difficult with a decent team. The problem lies in not having a coordinator in the squad. Looking for group is bad because nobody gets organised, and people leave after one wipe or even before.

A raid weapon drops from the end of the raid end of the world This is a good think, plenty of complaints from people back in D1 who ungraded the weapon that cried because they had to raid to finish it off

What? You literally do the raid and you get the quest for free Kill 100 enemies, [b][i][u]FARM THE RAID[/u][/i][/b] and then you have necrochasm. Nothing hard about this and literally everyone can do it

I didn’t get necro via contest mode and now I know how players felt when they couldn’t get nf lol. Although it’s not quite comparable because tons of players win traded in comp and didn’t do it legit like me.

Rather than making it pure RNG like most other raid exotics they gave an incentive to run world's first beyond a emblem. I don't raid so I'll never get it, but I think it was a great idea

The “streamers” want gear you can’t realistically acquire. It’s a part of how they make money. Bungie is onboard with this.

4 RepliesI'm upset becouse its actually rng after they said it wasn't. You need to get 20 essence of oversoul and can only aquire them in the raid 1 per week. Rather have had it the normal way. Now you have to best crota 20 plus times. Like 3 or 4 months.

1 ReplyUh this isn't D1 Crota this is D2 Crota they weren't going to add Husk (And re-add commons as a whole) to the world pool. Also once Contest is over it'll be pretty damn easy since Crota has 15M hp (A team beat it and the calculations were about 14M but I'm just saying 15M just in case) and you can have a few ad clearers (Swords does appear to be affected by light level so even if you do the multiple sword strats after contest you should only need 2 so 3 mechanic people and 3 ad clearers). Eidolon is obtained by killing things with Husk while Necrochasm is obtained by obtaining 20 oversoul essence. For those who want Necrochasm Crota appears to be guaranteed to drop 1-3 oversoul while every other encounter appears to be 50% chance to drop 1 this means each week you get a minimum of 3 with 3 characters (If it's character based anyways)

Dude. It's a raid quest for a raid exotic. Just do a crota checkpoint once and you'll be able to get your husk and eidolon.

If you spend the time to clear on contest I think you deserve the exotic. I really like this change. I wouldn't mind if all reprised raids did this
