While I do not agree with the nerf at all, I can somewhat see why it was done, however Fusions like Aurvandil, fire too slowly and does too much damage to make proper use of the perk. Most of the time the target is already dead after the first shot, in the rare instance it is not, it would be on the second, and you may have gotten the targets around it to freeze. Needing 3 hits to freeze on high impact Fusions is just too many shots especially considering how long they take to charge...
I beg of you not to keep this nerf as a standard bar for all, but to consider time to shoot and damage done. Reduce heavy Fusions Chill Clip back down to needing only 2 shots. At this point the only thing I can Freeze with my Arvandil is a Boss.... And Bosses do not react to being frozen.
Also, (And this goes for all of Fusions) Please allow Chill Clip to activate on every target hit when it comes to overpenetration. It just makes more sense that way, it would reward those of us who live for the "Line of Thrall" perfect shot.

2 RepliesChill clip is for slow..not freeze. Just use abilities to freeze.

needs to be buffed on special grenade launchers.

Riptide feels sluggish & clunky now with the 3 shot requirement. Not to mention how this nerf was rolled out with no consideration to the ammo econ. Either buff the ammo econ drop rates or increase the reserves of special weapons with Chill Clip.

9 RepliesEdited by blood stealth: 9/3/2023 1:31:04 PMThe perk should have only been changed to adjust for pellets landed. Each pellet should apply slow stacks based on the amount of pellets a fusion frame fires, rapid fires requiring 12-14 of the pellets (9 burst), and other fusion frames being 10-12 (7 burst), and 7-8 (5 burst) for high impact chill clip fusions. Instead all chill clip does is apply max slow stacks based on if anything hits in the whole burst. It’s bad now and too rewarding before. This is a much better and realistic way of modifying the perk. Chill clip is a single target perk, not crowd control

9 RepliesIt's a slow weapon now for overloads and comboing with stasis. Not so much for freeze which makes sense. Freeze is pretty darn strong

The 3 shot just baffles me sometimes 😭
