If you want people to play PVP, make it better.
Do not put one of a kind "first of its type" PVE rolls, like Bait and Switch GLs, into a PVP mode.
Its not hard for a PVP players to do PVE content, they just have to push forward and get carried.
PVP is not the same for PVE players.

Guardian, Archon Of LightArchon Priest Of House Light - old
Because just maybe, a weapon should be relevant in all content I might have to dabble in Trials again for it, thanks in advance to all the free carries I get, sorry if I screw up your flawless, but must have GL -
You can farm trials pretty well solo and without even getting wins. No other loot in the game can be acquired when failing except in PvP settings (gambit included). Plus the gl is hardly meta defining. It’s a strong option yes but not so strong it’s a must have. Destiny is built on playing all activities and acquiring loot from one place and using it in another. It’s always been this way so if you don’t like that then you don’t like destiny.

The day they stop putting relevant pvp weapons in pve

Edited by Kiro - 13: 8/29/2023 5:02:40 AMWell not only is the new trials heavy grenade launcher Cataphract GL3 the best PvE heavy GL(via Bait & Switch), its also the best PvP heavy GL because it has 11 more velocity and 6 more handling base line then Wendigo.

2 RepliesWhat difference does it make if it'll get nerfed because of pvp anyway? Besides, I don't think they've ever said they won't keep any perks exclusive to raid/ dungeons. Give it a year or two and the Sword Logic perk on the Crota weapons will probably be available on other gear that's not even related to the Hive.

1 ReplyYou don't even need to win to get one. You know that, right? And by that logic, no meta PvP weapons should be in PvE. As a PvP player who has done literally every piece of PvE content and can teach all of them if need be, I don't want that. I enjoy doing PvE to get guns to bring into PvP and vice-versa.

6 RepliesPvp players never need a carry to do pve. Most pvp players have to go through raids, dungeons, Gm's etc... to get their godroll pvp weapons (that often comes from pve) As well as their artifice armors. You'd be surprised by the number of top pvp player that can carry a raid. Most pvp players are also pve players. But most pve players arent pvp players btw. Only works one way. (Also pve isnt hard enough to be truly a struggle for a pvp player) But yes a GL with obvious pve perks shouldnt be a trials weapons, especially a one of a kind roll. It will just encourage recoveries and paid carries.

2 RepliesWe have a HIVE BOOMER gun! What else do you need!

Just play trials.

There’s plenty of other options that dont require trials lol.

18 RepliesPvp players get carried by PvE players?
-
Feels good to have something good to chase in content that I enjoy playing. I hate working up the drive to go farm spoils to buy a good adept
-
What do you mean by make it better? Some weapons are just going to be good in PvE by default if they are designed to have a use in pvp over and above something in the same archetype. I don't think there's anyone that plays pvp that would care if something that's considered a PvE weapon had a PvE pursuit to get.
-
The thing is, you have to give PVP aspirational loot also, right? And my, that ship.

1 ReplyPvP players playing PvE ? Hahahahaha all they do is get the weapon that they want and then go back to playing PvP all day , they have no new maps for years , they constantly check the same lanes cause maps don't change so they do not have skill , it is just muscle memory and even an 8year old can do that. It is because of PvP that stuff gets nerfed and PvE gets destroyed because of it so no i don't want to carry a PvP main that wants to get carried and then instantly goes back to PvP to abuse something ...
-
Translation: “The best weapons should be easy to acquire because I am entitled.“ You said it yourself, “It’s not hard for a PVP players to do PVE content”. Not because they’re good at it, but because pve is not hard.
-
54 RepliesCoaxing PvE players into a hilariously toxic and unpleasant PvP game mode for good PvE weapons is a tactic Bungie has been using for years. It's a slimy tactic and it sucks every time. But, you gotta get used to it. Waiting for GL buff mid-season to coax people even further. It's gross.

The Regnant GL exist and an be crafted. Lethal with spike nades, velocity MW envious and explosive light.

14 RepliesWhat pve weapon they put in trials now 😆 🤣 Also if you want it just go flawless it ain't hard
-
Edited by Sunshinus: 8/29/2023 10:29:21 AMYou can just go spam farm losses in trials. Yes, you'll probably hate your life after that experience, but at least you'll have your gl

I want a BnS Grenade launcher 😔🤔 Guess I'll hop in and get my butt kicked for one
-
No different then putting PvP weapons in PvE.
-
Get over whatever weapon you don’t have enough skills to obtain. If you’re good in pve you should know you ain’t need no specific weapon or roll to beat any content, and score high damage, even in contest mode.

1 ReplyThey should have put flawless in Guardian Ranks

13 RepliesEdited by WulfPak666: 8/28/2023 11:56:05 PMThis is nothing new. Bungie puts fantastic PvE guns in PvP to get more players to dabble in PvP. They do the same to PvP players as well. Remember the SpareBenders meta, both PvE guns and both were locked behind activities that were on a weekly (or even monthly) lock out when you could actually farm them. Tedious and stupid, just like this games grind :) And I wouldn't even call this GL "Relevant" either. Aside from some YouTubers saying "it's meta" and such, it's usefulness has yet to be determined. Hell, remember when all the YouTubers were telling us to grind Wendigo Adept because it was gonna be META and here we are, it hasn't been meta or even worth a crap since. 👻
