My ps5 overheats when I play altars of summoning
When I log into destiny there’s no problems at all I can play strikes crucible trials of Osiris for hours and no over heating but as soon as I load into altars of summoning my ps5 is overheating then it says my ps5 is too hot and turns off I’ve never had this problem before I’ll clean it and it’s in a open area does anyone know what’s the problem.

The PS5 runs hot in general unfortunately. All you can do is make sure it's in a well ventilated area and give it a clean if needed. Otherwise that might be something you'll wanna talk to Sony about if it's a failed cooler or defect.

Try positioning it in an well ventilated area and not in the entertainment unit shelf that usually works

My PS5 has no issues running Alter. I played a lot leading up to Trials too.

1 ReplyPs5 owner here, I did play altar and never encounter that problem. You did mention you clean up your ps5 but still suffered the same thing. Best of luck for the repair.

1 Replyit should have come with a base to set it on, ps5 needs air flow 360 degrees around it so it doesn't overheat.
