Really don't understand why you don't bump it up to 700. All the new weapons and armor the last couple of seasons have pushed my vault space to the max. Or at least make the weapons be able to aquire from the weapon book, with a static roll. And if you want better perks, play/grind the activity that awards that weapon. I don't get to do raids or trials so I don't really have some of the better guns. Sure some I haven't used in a while, but thats no reason to delete them, they have rolls that fit my play style or are masterworked with good rolls. I have been playing since day one. There have been vault space increases in the past, its been to long since the last one. l would really like some kind of answer from you Bungie. And now final shape is on the horizon, so what gives? Liked I asked earlier and as few times over the years, why won't you give some kind of answer? Oh, and please don't answer on twitter or somewhere else. Use this venue of yours for communication, those other sites are just the lazy way out in my book. Anyway, enough ranting on my end. Looking forward to hear something positive from you Bungie. Be good.

Just say you're a hoarder dear. Veteran players don't need extra vault space, hoarders do.
-
Because if they bump it to 700, we'll have this exact same post a month later asking for 8, then 9, then 1000. That's why.

1 ReplyThere aren't a lot of people who have played the game as long as I have. I struggle with vault space because I don't want to delete my sunset godrolls. I also try to keep at least 1 roll (PvP or PvE godroll) of each weapon. I also keep rolls with high kill tracker counts (Ex. my Astral Horizon from Season of the Worthy I held onto even though I recently got an adept with the same roll and perks). I also keep old destination materials and consumables as souvenirs (fireteam medallions, planetary tokens, etc.) I need this vault space. By final shape, everyone should have access to 1000 slots.
-
2 RepliesA veteran player should have learned item management skills. Also Bungie has already doubled the vault space and then added a extra 100 spaces. If they did increase the vault again hiw long would it be until you filled it up again and then came back asking for more.
-
Been playing since D1 Alpha and have zero vault space issues. The lack of power level increase the last 2 seasons and removing 2 materials used for weapon crafting has freed 150 spaces in my vault. Down to 400 items in my vault.
-
If you need that much vault space you have a hoarding issue. There's no way you need that much space. Borderlands has so many more guns in that game and storage was never a problem for me. This game has a tiny fraction of the amount of weapons Borderlands has.
-
I’m a veteran player and I have about 200 free spots. I’m just not a hoarder.
-
2 RepliesVeteran players don’t need it. People who horde garbage do. Borderlands literally has billions of guns and doesn’t even have that many vault spaces. Stop hoarding crap.
-
3 RepliesI agree. Bungle changes the meta and suddenly vault weapons become really good again; better than the new ones in fact. They sunset good weapons and bring some back, so I've kept others just in case, like Hammerhead. I never buy anything from Eververse because there is no room for it.
-
2 RepliesVeteran player here. Was sitting at 450/600 before this season started. Delete your trash rolls you hardly even use.

I still find it hilarious and infuriating how they create an app for all this stuff using money, time, resources and people, just to ditch it off for the all knowing, all ignorant Twitter. Just ridiculous. People love using that because its designed to be vague and misleading with limited input, though Musk did make a significant change like 5,000 characters I believe? I feel extra vault space 700-1000 isn't a bad idea. Personally I have been thinking about dismantling everything but crafted weapons, Raid weapons, good Adepts, and I've gotten rid of a bit already. Aside from exotics, it seems like 90-95% of my use is crafted stuff and the rest just sits. If they plan to just keep going, I kind of feel like its inevitable to increase anyway, so there shouldn't be a problem doing it sooner than later, unless its a space thing, but if they're that worried about physical space, why the hell are they planning to pursue it for years longer then? Its just asking for all of the trouble, and begging for company ruin.

2 RepliesThis topic always seems to be toxic, either someone is agreeing that they’re in the same boat or someone else states that they only have some low number of items in their vault and why can’t you do that? Both things can be right, it doesn’t have to be one or the other. If one likes to keep the items they’ve grinded for or delete everything each new season both are fine. As for all of the people saying I only have 140 items in my vault what’s the problem. If you don’t need it would you be willing to give it up? Because most of the time that’s the argument, it bogs down the servers/tower. So if bungie came out and said we will increase vault space for those that need it, but we will remove the vault space for those that keep saying they don’t need it. Would you agree to that? I bet most wouldn’t and it would be a race to delete all messages referring to this. I do believe they need to do something. Crafting weapons somewhat helps. But I find myself with a good portion of my vault being used for exotic armor. Yes I don’t use them all the time but having the great roll waiting for that next buff on said armor is something I think most people hold onto. When you do the math on just the exotic armor for 3 characters alone that takes up quite a bit of space. So my vote is for more space. Or give us a way to save a weapon/armor in collections. Because to be honest only new players are pulling armor out of collections for actual in game usage.

1 ReplyBungie have explained why not several times over the years. I don't remember what the reason is, but they should pin it (along with a few other things) to the top of the forums so people can read it.
-
2 RepliesI agree.seems like they should offer a way to save your vault to your pc or your device that wouldnt cost them nothing that way.
-
Because there's a technical restriction. I think it's to do with last gen.

Edited by Kouz_MC: 8/26/2023 5:57:05 AMYou don’t need to craft, collect every single weapon. 90% are trash, and would never be justified to use them vs others. People like you don’t realize than in a couple of years or so, everything will be forgone. And eventually, Bungie will delete destiny and your vault. Forever. It’s not like you bring all these stuff home or on a USB that you can show your grand children. Keep the best, delete the rest. I’d rather Bungie spend money on content rather than useless QoL or vault expansion. We don’t need more toys, we need more stuff to use our toys on.

Just quit hoarding
-
13 RepliesBecause the game still has to run on PS4 and XB1. Vault space consumes RAM…which is needed to run other parts of the game.
-
3 RepliesFunny, how people act like hoarding is the problem and not the relic Bungie uses as an engine, that allegedly prevents increasements of vault space. I have no space left as well. I keep good armor rolls, one of each exotic armor piece and 1-2 pieces of every weapon that cant be pulled from collections and has a decent roll. Of course I dont use everything regularly, but the vault should be exactly for the stuff, you want to keep, but dont need all the time. I just hope, D3 will follow on Final Shape and give us the benefits of a modern engine. It could fix problems like power creep, unbalancable sandbox and PvP as well, but I guess they will milk D2 until the engine fails fundamentally.

dismantle your garbage sunset weapons mr veteran

-
It fills up pretty quick with those new weapons until people realise what the best rolls are.
-
Think last gen holds us back tbh, but i aint a game dev. Would love more space

I agreed, every season they release new weapons so they need to increase vault space minimum once per DLC. Also adding some fixed rolls weapon should be able to pull from Library that save space. Also exotic weapons once you upgrade the power level you should be able to register that power level in your collection list so you can delete and reacquire it back that would save lots of space too. Now every time you pull from collection you need to upgrade and there delete to save space is a bad concept. I know this won’t be a issue to people who play 1 character and occasionally.
