There are many mods like this season's Elemental Orbs or RoN's Armor Mods and even Subclass Fragments that require weapons to and subclass elements to match, and while it was a cool gimmick I feel like they've become to common like the fellas at Bungie are telling me to commit to only one burn.
Even though the Match Game modifier is gone there are still benefits to playing with one of each light element type, and on top of that the game has been played that way for the better end of a decade. I think these mod effects are cool, but especially in cases like seasonal mods and raid mods why am I required to match my subclass to the weapon element for that effect? It's either activity dependant or temporary so why not just let players go off?

2 RepliesI remembered match made game mode where players have to match elemental weapons to shielded enemies. Bungie is finding another way or similar way to use that kind of setting to diversify a style of gameplay?

Hitting those elemental signs in the new spire are tricky when every weapon I have is arc or strand.

2 RepliesI think it's great tbh. Easier to set up rainbow burn. 🤷

Nah Dude, it's fine... You can ignore the "burn element" in pretty much every activity, even GMs.

1 ReplyEdited by ULiano_III: 8/23/2023 10:17:00 PMThis is how out of ideas Bungie is with the Artifact. Most of it is the same as the LF release Artifact. But let's talk specifically about these new Warminds.. 3 Separate Mods, for 3 Separate Elements.. Here's one better... Just make 1 Mod for what the 3 do.. the Mod should just say that the element orb created changes based on what Subclass you are.. then they would have 2 Other Mods for other ideas.. Just my thought tho..

I think I'll be ignoring elemental orbs unless they align with a build or activity.

2 RepliesI personally love it, it synergies with the subclasses so whats there to hate? No one is stopping you from using other stuff, you just wont be able to benefit from the mods. Thats a sacrifice you need to be willing to make. Besides why wouldn’t you want to use the same element on the same subclass? It just feels right.

I'm not too fond of this season's mods . i like rocking smgs with overload

4 RepliesI think its good to have a variety of Perks, im not a HUGE fan of elemental specific Perks but I will admit they can actually influence a specific build very well. Its just good to have them there as an option if you dont want to go for a specifc subclass element.

1 ReplyIt is sort of fun with the update Foetracer helmet for hunters.

2 RepliesI love it. It rewards you for focusing on a specific element instead of trying to cover as many as possible like D1.

2 RepliesI'm pretty certain the "match your subclass" design path came about because we have five elemental types and they didn't want us to be able to carry around 3 (or 4 if you carry 3 that don't match your subclass) to deal with multiple "shields" as easily.
