Strand warlock
Whats the best exotic armour for strand exotic warlocks? I only been playing destiny again for around a month and i don’t have any new exotic armours, had nearly 3 year break

Mantle of Battle Harmony is great for every subclass. Eye of Another World is a good choice if you don't have high stats. Swarmers aren't terrible but could be better. Necrotic Grip is top tier. Verity's Brow is another good option, especially if you have the Steeplechase ornament set. Cenotaph is interesting if you want a more supportive approach. You could also go for the claws and Monte Carlo combo. If you have a kinetic with firefly, then Chromatic Fire can be fun for basic bish content.

Necrotic Grips for darts, punching, glaives, grappling hook pulley thing with explosions. It’s the best! It’s fantastic! :)

Green on green looks nice and the poison allows some really nice one shots in pvp when using it with the grapple with the weavers. In pve you can also eat a suspend grenade and pair it with the osteo strigga smg or thorn and have fun suspending everything while dealing a ton of dps followed with poison. If you don’t want to take this route you could always just use the quicksilver with the boots that create weavers when shooting tangles. You can pair that with the recent aspect since bungie buffed it so it suspends when shooting tangles which also create weavers which chains back into tangles etc.

2 RepliesI run a different setup. I prefer Vesper of Radius honestly. The arc damage along with the strand threadlings works great for me and a lot of fun. Results may vary.

1 ReplySwarmers is the only Exotic armour piece that specifically works with Strand, focused on Threadlings. Necrotic Grip is a very popular choice due to its synergy with Thorn and Osteo Striga, and how that works with the Weaver's Trance buff you get from eating your Shackle Grenade. It also works very well just when building into the melee. Cenotaph Mask can be a good choice if you get The Navigator from Ghosts of the Deep, by buffing Trace Rifles. Other alternatives - Winter's Guile, Felwinter's Helm and Verity's Brow can all be used with builds based on the Grapple Melee. Chromatic Fire is one of the only ways in which Broodweaver can use the Sever keyword. Vesper of Radius can be used for a sort of kamikaze build with Weaver's Call, for a decent amount of burst damage when casting your Rift.

Mantle of Battle Harmony. They are my picks, just make sure you're set up to take advantage of the perks.

2 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 8/20/2023 4:07:29 PMMy favorite build is the Osteo/Grips suspend build. It’s ridiculously good but we know suspend is getting nerfed so it will be wait and see. I also run a combo suspend/threading build with Battle Harmony for activities with no surge. It gets the super pretty quick and gives all Strand weapons a 25% damage buff while your super is full. I trash things in Neomuna with Battle Harmony. The Threadling/Swarmers build is meh but getting a buff so that will be wait and see as well. I use Quicksilver and Circular Logic MG for must builds. I run a crafted Forbearance in the energy slot usually. Quicksilver is the best exotic primary in the game IMO

Necrotic Grips and mindspun invocation (grenade aspect and suspend grenade) Swarmers and The Wander aspect If you don’t really have either or aren’t up for farming them yet; Eye of Another world (Improved ability regeneration) and Karnstein Armlets (health regen) are good blanket exotics EAW is good at maintaining a strong ability regeneration and cycle, Broodweaver like Stormcaller struggles with defensive capabilities and Karnstein can help with that weakness.
