I feel like most people don’t even know this mechanic even exists and a brief explanation is in dares of eternity and team scorched the scorch cannon acts differently from a normal one and bumps you around when you fire a shot too close to you you actually damage yourself. Knowing this you can use it to your advantage, if you fire one on a ground and hold it for a bit then jump then release the shot you go flying upwards and apply that to any direction you control at the cost of a little damage to yourself and it is incredibly fun. With that said for those who have no idea what I’m talking about I wish bungie would use this mechanic more than just team scorched and dares of eternity. which is completely fine as it makes sense for goofy modes just for the hell of it but Maybe you could use this mechanic in a section of a dungeon or raid as a jumping section like dares has but where you can’t make certain jumps without using the projectile fired from the scorch cannon to boost yourself upwards or forwards across a gap too long without engaging with the mechanic. I know this’ll probably fall on deaf ears but I wanted to put this out there as I think it’d be a neat idea to at the least try. I don’t know for sure but does this sound? Is this at least interesting to anyone else or not? I’d like to hear what people think.
