Maelstrom quest step 1 of 4 potentially bugged or extremely flawed in design.
As the title says.
For this quest step, you have to bond with two strand sources that spawn randomly within the Vex Incursion Zone. Early in the quest I found a strand source and nothing beyond that. I've probably been looking for a second strand source for multiple hours spread over two days trying to complete this quest. I've been all over Liming Harbor and I can't find any sources anymore. I don't see them spawning or anything at all and I'm honestly getting tired of it.
If anyone has a solution it would be greatly appreciated.

1 ReplyI had this problem with my girlfriend trying to do this quest with her and the thing that seemed to work for us is loading into a busier instance. Doubly so if multiple players are using strand in that instance. Your best bet is waiting until the terminal overload is in the vex incursion zone and load into a terminal overload instance - that tends to get higher volumes of of players in one instance, and chances are you'll find a strand user or two as it is excellent for crowd control, which given that mobs are coming at you constantly in the terminal overload, makes it a solid choice. And if others aren't using it, throw it on yourself. It didn't increase my chance of a source vastly, but it was noticeable.
