I really can't stress how much this is holding the class back. Unlike every other Subclass, not a single Stasis Fragment creates Stasis shards. Instead of having Aspects that allow for cool abilities, each subclass has an entire Aspect wasted on creating shards.
Shards should work like Tangles, where defeating Stasis debuffed targets generates shards. You could even throw in shattering Stasis crystals as a way to create shards. This would allow the current Aspects that generate shards to get reworked into new, useful abilities.
What these abilities could be? I don't know, that's for the Dev team to decide.

Edited by Chrystoph: 8/19/2023 7:32:53 PMPersonally, I think, if you are using an Aspect for it, they should auto-harvest the way Ionic Traces do. Having to spend a fragment AND an Aspect compared to a single fragment that gets the harvest for free seems excessive. Also, I think the travel speed needs a kick. I have literally seen Guardians outrun turret fire; just run directly away from it and not get hit.

I will say, I feel like stasis shards are the only one that give a significant amount of ability energy.

I believe it’s a quantity vs quality thing. Stasis shards via the aspects are either very easy to get (warlock or Titan) or give crazy amounts of energy (hunter), and Bungie believes these offset the cost. I honestly don’t mind, but I think that the aspects could get some nice buffs. Ex - Titan - stasis crystals last longer and take reduced damage from enemies.

1 ReplyI know the shard issue is a pain point but stasis fragments where mentioned very briefly in the twid I believe . It's something " qol, yay! Stasis fragments . So idk what that means

Edited by Kouz_MC: 8/19/2023 12:59:53 AMThey’re working on selling you a new subclass, they don’t care about old stuff everyone already paid for. “You had to be there” when it was fun or worth using. Stasis is now largely for warlocks who want to place turrets on the map. I see no reason, even with the modification you suggest, for anyone to favor stasis over any other subclass. Don’t get me wrong I like stasis, but for poops n giggles, and Bungie DON’T care about balance. Next meta will be the new subclass. Period. Now please go get ready to pre order FS next week so Bungie can prove to their investors that whatever feedback they hear from the community or from player numbers actually mean nothing more than increased revenues and profitability.

1 ReplyThey might as well just vault Stasis. And zero seasonal mods next season for Stasis too.
-
Stasis needs its own complete overhaul, but it will never happen. Like "Crucible Labs," Stasis existed as a test run for Light 3.0 upgrades and that's all it will ever be - a sad 2.5 subclass that is functional enough to get by and served Bungie's purposes.

Stasis warlock and hunter are fine wdym.

3 RepliesThey can't stand Stasis. They have never hated anything they made as much as they hate Stasis. I'm 100% sure they wish they never made it at all...

They are not touching stasis, and as someone who mains it i would prefer they leave it alone, I cant even trust them to look at it.

A good idea from this community? Noooooooo, how dare you
