If you aren't going to update it anymore after the map and enemy additions then just remove it from the game.
If the player interaction numbers are that low just remove.
Same goes for dares of eternity, does anyone play that anymore?
Edit:
Too many people feel the need to release their pent up anger hear.
Just remember this is my opinion. Everyone is allowed one 👍

No thanks. It's not everyone's favorite activity, but it is still nice to break up things from the normal grind.

1 ReplyI stopped with dares after I crafted each weapon and I got all the loot that includes the flaming cat mask after that there's nothing to do. If they put a good enough reason to run it again then I'd go back cause it was fun while it lasted. But gambit kind of just feels dead and has since forever I run it enough to get the shader and maybe the ornaments if the seasonal weapon is good but the game mode just sucks and this is coming from a guy who wasted enough time to get to dredgen tier 7. If they deleted gambit in favor of better things like more pvp maps or better strikes or a DECENT RAID or you know whatever I'd be down for that.

I'm in favour of removing it if they replace it with something better ...bring back a horde mode like escalation protocol or court of oryx..(newbies will need to Google that) with exclusive rotating loot pools...I did play gambit a lot...when there was a need to farm pinnacles and loot. I don't mind it but it needs refreshing for sure if they keep it.

5 RepliesBruh you’re a casual player… come on now…

Same goes for dares of eternity
Do i get an refund from you then as i payed for the 30th Anniversary DLC I play it sometimes but don't remove it pls no

Just remove A RANDOM GENT
-
No harm in keeping it around despite zero changes. I’d like to see all activities numbers after next season. Wasting resources doesn’t make sense since raids have low numbers.
-
1 ReplyI agree. The space that the game mode takes up is quite large. I'd rather have new Strikes and PVP maps instead. Gambit can go the way of the Dodo as far as I'm concerned.

1 ReplyEdited by Oinkthebaconking: 8/18/2023 9:39:43 PMGambit is in a terrible state, and that's what's affecting engagement. They never really made the changes that the community asked for, so it's no surprise it isn't fun. The number one suggestion was to limit invasions during the primeval, but they just won't do it. All they ever do is skew it to greater favor teams over solo. I briefly enjoyed Gambit when it was solo que and even before that, when it first came out. I stopped playing when invaders started magically getting sniper headshots on people in the middle of dodges and behind cover. In other words, Gambit became a den of hacks. Even so,there are times I play it a bit.
-
1 ReplyThey have taken away any incentive to play it going forward so just don’t play it. I’m sure they will vault it at some point because why spend QA time on a mode you’re basically not supporting.

1 ReplyEdited by NeoReaper82: 8/18/2023 9:03:01 PMLMFAO, so are those who you don't agree with & gambit still has around 100k players, and remember when trials were on their last leg? Should Bungie have removed it?
-
1 ReplyMaybe after the end of the Final Shape? I don’t want anymore stuffs vaulted or cut out if they aren’t replacing anything new.
-
13 RepliesIt should have never been introduced. Worse game mode I’ve ever seen in this franchise. It was worse than patrol. I did Gambit to get something. After I’m done, I don’t go back in there. That’s it. That is not gaming, that’s doing dishes. Bwahahahahahaha!!! Gambit is even worse than doing dishes. Bwahahahahahaha!!! Welcome to hollowness!
-
I agree.
-
You can remove it any time you like.
-
I still play Gambit regularly. Let’s not remove it.
-
11 RepliesI’m not really sure why these post exist. I know you may not play much gambit in your 15 minutes of gaming a week. So your answer is take it out. Great logic.
-
4 Replieslet me ask you something GENT if i said... hey Bungie, just remove this post from the forums, there isn't much interaction going on here (have you seen I Patrol. in trending?). Same goes for A RANDOM GENT, does anyone still interact with that Guardian?

Edited by Daemon White: 8/18/2023 8:18:29 PM
If you aren't going to update it anymore after the map and enemy additions then just remove it from the game.
Ok so to get some facts in order here first... Gambit's returning map and enemy update is happening AFTER Final Shape launches. Yeah? Final Shape is Destiny 2's LAST Expansion. Yeah? So in other words, what else is going to continue updating after that expansion? Not much probably. Extension of statements would imply Bungie should remove D2 ... after D2 stops receiving updates :V D1 players in shambles

Dares of Eternity is legit one of the best and most fun activities they’ve ever made tho 🤨 Imo best way to level up weapons while still accomplishing something (I.e. not Shuro Chi/Golgoroth/Neomuna Story where you get literally nothing other than weapon XP and repeat the exact same thing over and over again.) Will probably be on par with/better than those methods with the changes to weapon leveling next season. If they just made there be a better way to get the old world drop weapons like True Prophecy, Ignition Code, Timelines’ Vertex, etc. it’d be a perfect activity.
-
If people still play it they won’t remove it
-
Totally agree ! It was amazing when it first dropped ….not now, sad one round one mode bugged activity 🙄🤷🏼♂️
-
Sometimes activities get enough players to keep them around, but not enough to justify extra investment.
